The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

Now I wanna win the lottery and go see U2 in the US or Canada (wherever they play with Arcade Fire)

I was trying hard to win the lottery so I could go to these 3 shows.

If I still had my old job, there was a small chance I could have made it. Oh well

One tweeter saying that he was at the two Sao Paulo shows, says that UV is much more interesting live than HMTMKMKM. I'll disagree, both just make the setlist look spectacular.

Oh, also love this tweet: "Music trivia fun fact: U2 treats POP as their illegitimate bastard child".

Was it full Zooropa, or like what was heard at sound check a few night ago.

POP really is the red-headed stepchild with a hump.

Haha, I was thinking of that. Here's the draft article:

Today, U2 performed their second of three concerts in Sao Paulo. And what a concert it was - we are going to remember this as "the show that killed U2gigs", after the site temporarily collapsed during the encore.

Straight out of the blocks, U2 had surprises in store. Out Of Control made its tour debut, slotting into second in the setlist. It was last played on 4 December 2006, and is just the second song from the Boy album to be played this tour. However, the most momentous moment of the night came later in the main set, when the title track from Zooropa was performed live for the first time since 12 August 1993. It had only been played live three times, and those three were incomplete performances of the final third of the song; this performance was the full song in all its glory.

As for the rest of the setlist, Pride and Ultra Violet rotated back into the set after both missing the previous show. Unreleased song North Star returned for its 14th ever performance, after missing the previous three shows. And to make room for North Star and Zooropa, Beautiful Day slotted into the position normally held by In A Little While - a song whose performance has been controversial and not particularly well-received amongst the online fanbase, but nonetheless it has been a setlist staple lately. The last time it missed a show was on 14 October 2009.

The full setlist was:

1. Even Better Than The Real Thing
2. Out Of Control
3. Get On Your Boots
4. Magnificent
5. Mysterious Ways
6. Elevation
7. Until The End Of The World
8. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
9. Pride
10. North Star
11. Beautiful Day
12. Miss Sarajevo
13. Zooropa
14. City Of Blinding Lights
15. Vertigo
16. Crazy Tonight
17. Sunday Bloody Sunday
18. Scarlet
19. Walk On

Encore(s):
20. One
21. Amazing Grace (snippet) / Where The Streets Have No Name
22. Ultra Violet
23. With Or Without You
24. Moment Of Surrender

Full Zooropa??? It's best the feed died. The U2 fanbase would be little balls of glowing goo.

Okay boys, let's revisit an album released in 1997. Mofo, Gone, Velvet Dress?

Probably one of my favourite setlists of U2360 I reckon.

1. UV, not HMTMKMKM
2. No IALW
3. Scarlet over MLK
4. North Star, not underwhelming Mercy
5. Zooropa is one of my favorite U2 songs, what a momentous tour occasion this is.
6. I prefer NYD way over OOC, but the sheer surprise at the appearance of OOC is immensely exciting

Goddamn Zooropa just sounds incredible, especially the "and I have no compass" part.

I love when people post videos from my own site quicker than I do. : slowbastard :

Not only they played Zooropa, kicked out In a Little While, Bono actually did shut the fuck up for the Out of Control guitar solo! Cheesy guitar poses notwitstanding. It's a miracle!

This should be a public holiday. :applaud:
