Sao Paulo II Setlist Party II

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

They really had balls tonight - no words to explain. They finally took out IALW, brought Out Of Control and Zooropa. Oh my god, WHAT A NIGHT. Wow, can't wait for videos and bootlegs.

Huge, huge props to the streamer.

Maybe I should miss setlist parties more often. I missed last night's and I think it was only the 2nd setlist party I've missed since the 360 Tour began in '09. (Not counting Tampa since I was THERE). Apparently the band missed me, lol!

Yeah, I still can't believe they dropped IALW. Damn good riddance, I hope you're locked in a basement somewhere and they've thrown away the key.

So how can they top this on Wednesday?

1. Beautiful Day
2. New Year's Day
3. Get On Your Boots
4. Mysterious Ways
5. Elevation
6. Angel of Harlem
7. Still Haven't Found
8. Pride
9. Stuck
10. In A Little While
11. Miss Sarajevo
12. City of Blinding Lights
13. Vertigo
14. Crazy Tonight
15. Sunday Bloody Sunday
16. MLK
17. Walk On
18. One
19. Streets
20. HMwhatever
21. WOWY
22. MOS

Well, you knew that 3 night stands would bring a shake up of some sorts.

But I don't think anyone expected this!

I don't see how there could be any debate about this being the best set of the tour thus far!

Out of Control AND Zooropa debuted!

Ultraviolet back and better than ever.

All the staples sounding incredible.

The crowd.

Everything!

Compare this to the 2009 shows, which really, really felt to me like something vital was missing from this band! 10000% more energy and excitement now.

Let's carry this over into America!

Will they at least bring back Return of the Stringray Guitar?

It's going to be really hard to top tonight's set. Really, really hard. Play this same set on Wednesday, except place Bad in North Star's position, and there you go! Though I love North Star

I still prefer 2009. :reject:

Probably for three reasons: NLOTH songs, Your Blue Room, and Ultraviolet every night.

So this was the show that killed U2gigs.

For the record, the site's got an error that only Matt can fix - but he's actually AT THE SHOW! Hopefully it'll be restored soon ...

That's fine!

I just would have spread the NLOTH songs out a bit instead of pushing them all the front and confusing 65% of the crowd!

I wasn't a big YBR fan

And I think they're doing a better job mixing in songs from the back catalog now.

Also, there are more energetic rockers in the set now.

I figured that you and Matt just shut the site down because there will never be a better setlist than this and it's worth covering any other shows.

I would have like YBR better if ADAM had done his verse instead of the astronaut. But shh. :shifty:

SHUT UP

you're not allowed to have a different opinion than me.

Haha, while this is easily the best set of 360 (shame about UV though), I reckon I could still find about 400 better setlists. They're called the eighties tours.

And may I just permit myself an OH MY GOD ZOOROPA YESSSS!!!! here? I may? OK then:

OH MY GOD ZOOROPA YESSSS!!!!

I would play tonight's set, replacing PITNOL with Bad, and North Star with Every breaking Wave HA!). I'd also swap Ultraviolet with HMTMKMKM. And if they choose to drop OOC, then replace it with NYD, not IWF.

I don't ask for much?

the thought of Soundboard/Broadcast quality Zooropa is making me

A live DVD with this set, plus those couple of changes would make it perfect

Cedars? U2's worst song ever? :crack:

I have said all along that Cedars would be a perfect slow-burn opener....

It is haunting and the rolling drum beat would follow Fez well.

Not saying they should do it at every show, but once in a while (3rd shows) it would be cool to have them start like that, then bust into EBTTRT
