I love the way Bono sings the verses, especially the one that begins with "a link is lost ...". Elsewhere though the song really is very bloated though. Crazy strained vocals don't really do it for me. That said the 2nd side to JT is about as diverse a group of songs / sounds that U2 have ever offered on any album and RHMT definately plays it's part.
