Charlotte and I made poutine for dinner last night. It was respectable. On an unrelated culinary note, her mother has found this Swiss cookbook ... I think it's going to keep us busy and our tastebuds very, very happy.

I already loved 1984, you know that, but it was even better than I remembered. Not sure which is my favourite out of 1984 and Animal Farm now. Only just getting onto Solzhenistyn now; I'm reading One Day In The Life Of Ivan Denisovich. Don't quite have space in my camera bag for The Gulag Archipelago!

(Love that I've been carrying my camera with me every day since Tuesday and haven't taken a single photo. )
