I really need to get into this band. Where did you say they were from again? Cornwall?

Somewhere even more boring :tsk:

Was "Pretty Lights" written while you were taking care of your little sister?

No, the lyrics were written in Accounting class while I was bored and thought about how pretty a nuclear explosion would look like before it killed you. The majority of the music on the other hand might have been recorded on a kids acoustic guitar into a rock band microphone though

Sad.

Sounds awesome!
 "Rock Band microphone."

I haven't heard this Pretty Lights.

Together Alone.

I thought you were listening to his album that's why I brought it up. It's a strange sorta pretty little diddy off of it.

I haven't heard it in ages, but I randomly had it with me at work tonight, so I loaned it to my friend Robert, then wanted to listen to it XD.

I was just listening to Memories.

And now I'm onto some Midnight Oil. Still need to hit that Big Country album you can't stop raving about ...

Knitting maths:

46 stitches cast on. 12 rows = 4 cm. 30/4 = 7.5. 7.5 x 12 = 90. 90 rows of 46 stitches = 4140 stitches.

No wonder my hands hurt.

For the uninformed I give you my band's two most popular song on last.fm

Pretty Lights: http://www.media fire.com/download.php?uml24zl2lzz
Getaway (AKA what it would sound like if Sigur Rós wrote the bassline to Twilight) http://www.media fire.com/download.php?mmnyxtuzlzm

And to top it off the entire debut album For Great Justice featuring the 8500+ viewed Youtube single The Unicorn Song http://www.media fire.com/download.php?wyywo2qozkn

They're all modern classics really

I'm going to send myself an email so I remember to download these in the morning.

You can just download the album if you want them all, it's not very well recorded we didn't exactly have good equipment back then and weren't even sure we were making an album. Cat in the Hay is just screwed up, first song we ever wrote features several dozen guitar parts

The Unicorn Song is on there, if someone who's not me wants to add For Great Justice and Memories EP I'd be grateful, I don't want to make it seem like they're not a real band. I mean if a guy in Australia knows them we must be serious

My band's "official releases"

2008 The Unicorn Song (Single)
2009 All Your Base (Single)
2009 For Great Justice (Album)
2009 Memories (EP)

They all need to be on RYM

John, my favourite type of music is badly-recorded punk rock. Nothing could possibly sound worse than Sewer Trout's "Vagina Envy". (actual band, actual song. Their only release. Wonder why.)

"Atmospheric and beautiful in its simplicity, Midnight Daydream capture the essence of what it truly means to be a Unicorn. They are NOT simply horses with horns."

Ashley I still love this

Aside from John McCain shooting lasers out of his eyes and The Hearse Race, it's kind of my greatest work.

You'll be happy to know Ashley that we still play the song, last time we were in a music store we jammed it out on a Lap Steel guitar and Bongos

The Hearse Race :cornflakes:

Yay for celebrating pointless milestones in a post count.

So much :cornflakes:

Love Bonnie's James May's Bonnie's cameo at the end.
