I didn't see a thread on this. Only two days until the new season! I can't wait!

So I'm going to take a guess and say Hiro, is going to turn out to be his own hero. Otherwise it would alter time as we know it and the whole first season would be useless.

I missed it, I got to the part where Hiro's father saw the guy, then I opened the door, talked to someone for less then a minute, turned back to the tv, and it was at the next scene. What happened?

First, all the deaths or near-deaths were pure plot tricks.

I was actually interested in what you were saying until you made this comment.

DL didn't die. Parkman was supposed to be on death's door. Sylar was supposed to be dead, but they left that in doubt as he seemed to drag himself or be dragged into the sewer. The only touching moment of the finale, the Petrellis committing suicide to save the city, has been undone very conveniently. This is comic book logic, including dramatically.
It was so predictable and ripping off X-Men with the virus thing killing all mutants. The episode really dragged by focussing on Claire's annoying drama, and that guy in her class was so cliche. Who almost hits someone and then blames them? What a jerk.
I can already see the arcs of this season:
Hiro will teach the white Samurai how to become the hero of legend, perhaps fulfilling history, and Mrs. Petrelli will prove to her sons that she cares and sacrifice herself in some big dramatic moment.
Also, what's with all the guilt? Mr. Sulu is such a dick. I never respected my son until he risked his life? He deserved to die! Then again, he'll surely come back. The start of next episode will probably feature him getting up and walking upright.
I could already tell the fishy smugglers were going to try to rape the woman and perhaps die in the process or that her brother would kill them. Props to the writers for humanizing Latin American illegal immigrants, though.
Someone has to kill Dr. Suresh. I say this as a South Asian. That guy's voice overs are painful and don't create awe with me at all. He's an awful actor and could have worked on his British accent over the summer.
Mr. Bennett's scene was very predictable; they overdid the boss bullying. I preferred how Lost handled it with Locke. His worries about "protecting my family" seem a bit single-minded for him -- like it's the only thing that defines him. I still like him more than most.
I also thought Nathan Petrelli's whole convenient turn from ambitious brother to now only caring for his fallen Peter was cliche. Still, nice to see him with a beard. I like him, too.
I admit to getting excited finally when they revealed Peter, but then it ended.
It's cool, though, if you guys like it. It's fun like The O.C. or any old porn, I guess. Chuck was pretty bad; a mix of some boring spy action thing with "40 Year Old Virgin" and "Die Hard 4". The women were gorgeous, though. Another nebbish Jew stereotype. I liked him better when he was Seth Cohen. By the way, I'm not an O.C. fan, but I've been watching it on reruns and I do find Peter Gallagher and Seth enjoyably funny in these early seasons.

he doesn't remember who he is and I'm assuming he can't remember the last 4 months ...
The one complaint I have with the show is the blatant plugs for Nissan. I think its time to let it go ...
