This is quite interesting. Anyone who has checked out the pics of the briefcase content may have noticed some potential song titles, such as "The Cry," "Julie Says," and... "Father is an Elephant." Anyone care to hypothesize?

Well, the guitar of The Cry, which regularly appeared at the start of The Electric Co. live, became Is That All?, and I've only heard one performance of Father Is An Elephant, but I think it's a pretty cool song. Can't figure out the lyrics though, because the quality of my MP3 is so poor.

I knew that much you guys ;) I just wasn't aware that Father is an Elephant was ever even played. That's nuts.

They only played it about 5 or 6 times in Nov/Dec 1980 and they closed those shows with it. Unfortunately there is only one known recording of it circulating and it is very mediocre quality.
