As usual U2.com will be the last place to have the news /announcements.

I think that it's a first that the band is skipping Japan on a Pacific leg, isn't?

I always thought that Japan was a good market for U2.

I think that it's a first that the band is skipping Japan on a Pacific leg, isn't?

I always thought that Japan was a good market for U2.

In 1983, U2 had a successful club/small theater tour of Japan.

In 1989, U2 did very well in Japan. 3 arena shows in Osaka, sold out. 1 arena and 2 stadiums in the Tokyo area, sold out.

In 1993, U2 only did 2 stadium shows in Tokyo. Only one sold out.

In 1997, U2 did 1 stadium show each in Tokyo and Osaka. If you look at the schedule, the intention was clearly to add a 2nd night at least to Tokyo. However, neither show sold out... and in fact, the Osaka show I believe had under 20,000 people.

In 2006, U2 initially had a stadium show in Yokohama, which was not sold out. When they returned to Japan in November, it was too cold for an outdoor show, so they instead turned 1 stadium show into 3 nights at Saitama Super Arena. Combined attendance I think was around 57,000.

U2 are not nearly as big in Japan as a lot of international groups are. If you look at their chart performances in the country, it backs that point up. Won't be surprised if we don't see U2 in Asia at all.

Tour Dates announced for Australia and New Zealand: U2360° will visit Auckland, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and include U2's first Perth date since Popmart in 1998.

'U2 has always been at their best when surrounded by their audience, and this extraordinary production makes that happen in stadiums,' says U2's manager Paul McGuinness. 'It was important to the band that we were able to bring the whole 360° production to Australia and New Zealand so fans could experience the latest of U2's legendary productions.'

The U2360° Tour kicked off again in Turin, Italy this month and will visit 17 cities, including Moscow and Istanbul, before finishing at the Olympic Stadium in Rome on 8th October. By the time it reaches New Zealand and Australia, U2360° will have been seen by over 4 million fans.

With a cylindrical video system of interlocking LED panels, and a steel structure rising 150 feet from the floor over a massive stage with rotating bridges, the band has truly created an intimate experience for concert goers. Long-time U2 Show Director Willie Williams has worked again with architect Mark Fisher (ZooTV, PopMart, Elevation and Vertigo), to create an innovative 360 design, which affords an unobstructed view for the audience.

'To have an in-the-round transportable stadium production is something that the touring industry has been trying to figure out for some time. The extra capacity U2 360° gives us means that there are a large number, several thousand in fact, of low priced tickets at every show', said U2 tour producer/promoter Arthur Fogel, CEO of Live Nation Global Touring.

In keeping with the concept that this tour is more about a unique staging configuration with excellent sight-lines tickets in all 5 cities will be available starting at $39.90 with general admission floor tickets available at $99.90. Additional reserved seat tickets also available starting at $99.90.

Tickets for the U2 performances in Australia and New Zealand will go on sale Friday, September 3rd at all usual outlets. U2.com subscribers will be able to buy tickets ahead of the public on-sale.

Ax do you reckon they'll announce more shows, even just for Syd and Melb, maybe Auck? they've left a lot of room in between shows there.

Lol, I was kidding.

"Zoo...baby elephant and butterfly house...winning combination"

and i was all like, "zoo baby! (bullet with) butterfly (wings) (which is stupid i know because it's a Smashing Pumpkins song but they snippeted it last tour)

I would like to know this too. Also, how many tickets do you get with each code.

On my renew page it says I can renew to get an extra code...

You don't call anyone. You have to go on the ticketsite that is selling the tickets and put the code in the box. There will be designated times for each code to begin their presale.

For Example: Horizon members sale starts at 10am the first day, Breathe starts at 3pm the first day, Boots starts at 10am the second day, and Magnifient is 3pm the second day.

As for how you can use the code I don't know. It is different for N.A. and Europe.
