Update for Immediate Release:

1st EVER U.S. LOS ANGELES U2 FAN CELEBRATION
SUNDAY OCTOBER 10TH, 2004

Location: Ontario Convention Center (OCC)
Ontario, California

Special room rates for U2 Fans at the Countryside Suites by Ayers
(Countryside Suites by Ayers, which is right next door to OCC, has Free airport shuttle from Ontario International Airport which is less than 2 miles from the hotel and venue)
For Reservations call: 1-800-248-4661 ask for the U2 Fan Celebration Rate - includes full breakfast

Time:12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m.
(VIPS get early admission at 11:00a.m.!!)

Scheduled Events
All day video show, door prizes, trivia contest, karaoke sing-along
PLUS - LIVE ElevationUSA PERFORMANCE
Collectors and dealers from around the country * buy, sell or trade with other fans/collectors
All day display of rare U2 collectibles
See items that weren't part of the U2 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Exhibit!!

TICKET PRICES/PACKAGES*
Special Ticket Packages: $60, $50, $35 and $25 in advance - $20 day of show
ALL Ticket Prices/Packages include admission to the event and the Live ElevationUSA performance

SPECIAL $50 PRE-SHOW VIP TICKETS WILL INCLUDE
(Limited to 150** Guests):
Early admission to the event, Special Limited-Numbered Laminate
(backstage type pass w/clip), T-shirt, commemorative license plate, ElevationUSA LIVE CD, $5 food/beverage voucher and admission for the Live ElevationUSA performance at the end of the day!!!
**After the 150 VIP are sold, the $60 advance tickets will include
all VIP items EXCEPT early admission to the event

SPECIAL VIP PRE-SHOW PRICES WILL BE ON A FIRST-PAID-
FIRST-RESERVED BASIS ORDER EARLY AND SAVE$$
As a BONUS the first 30 VIP Ticket Buyers will receive
a Cleveland III T-shirt
(no guarantee on sizes but we will try to accomodate requests as close as possible)

Although I don't mind racking up the frequent flyer miles with some of my midwestern buddies, either! :D

now that's the best idea i've heard yet... or maybe we could have the u2 fan exchange program... kinda like the student exchange program but not.
