The Showman (Whatever Happened to Much More Better)
Wow, 13 songs on the regular album. The longest U2 album ever, if you discount the live stuff on Rattle and Hum.
Well, we don't know long the tracks are, or the total running time of the album. Pop not only had 12 songs like AB but the average song length was like 5 minutes. Is an extra song enough to put it over the 60 minute mark? We'll see.
Now all I can think of is the imminent debate of whether or not they should have kept Little Things as the last track.
You're just a little ray of sunshine ?How laughable. So we've got:
- "The Showman" can't be left as just that, it has to include a second, infinitely worse title in brackets
- Three songs with vapid noun-preposition-noun titles
- Five titles with at least six words
- Three songs with the word 'love'
- Two songs that lead off with the word 'love'
- Several songs with titles that are needlessly wordy
- One title featuring a phrase used in a single from the previous album
- A remix with a stupid title that no one asked for
Great! Awesome!
I'm just wondering if there'll be a song in between little more better and much more better
They have been saying all year it's the last song, then it's placed in the middle? Typical U2!Now all I can think of is the imminent debate of whether or not they should have kept Little Things as the last track.
Just wait until the Songs of Ascent album cover, featuring a forlorn looking Leo.
Hot take: most of U2's album covers have been blandly unmemorable or outright bad. The ONLY interesting ones were Pop, Rattle & Hum, and War.
Factually incorrect. Zooropa was judged Best Album Cover of the Nineties by a panel of experts. Achtung Baby was judged 4th and Pop 8th in the same international competition.Hot take: most of U2's album covers have been blandly unmemorable or outright bad. But let's hope that maybe Songs of Love Thing Way will be good despite its silly titles.
To complete the pattern, shouldn't the SOA cover feature Adam's kid?
Maybe it is, and side 3 is only in the deluxe edition. Now all I can think of is the imminent debate of whether or not they should have kept Little Things as the last track.
