Chicago #2 Setlist party

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Fans need to stop asking Bono "when will you play TCB" or "Where will the DVD be filmed," and start asking "What's up with the Dublin shows? cori wants to plan a trip, yo."

We're, what, two verses into One and Bono's barely sung a line?

I like a big mass singalong. Nice shared moment. Chalk at least one into the "Hey, I Like This Tour's One" column.

This is the worst performance of One ever, holy shit this is awful.

It's over.

Just bring out a karaoke machine and project the lyrics onto the wall.

Hahaha no fucking shit. If you put together all the lines Bono sung tonight, I'm still not sure you get a full verse. That was dreadful. I love a good chorus or outro singalong as much as the next person, but basically giving up on singing any of the song at all? Poor form. He didn't even give up that badly during any songs at Popmart Sarajevo!

thanks harbinger for giving us audio tonight. much appreciated

I don't think One was the intended song. It looked like Bono called an audible and went over to each band member to tell them right before it was played. I think his throat/voice gave out on him during streets and he didn't trust it to do anything except lead a sing-a-long.

The printed setlist has One.

Also, could somebody please explain to me why on earth some of you call a deviation from the printed set an "audible"? That's baffled me since the first deviation of tour.

Like why it's called that at all (the definition), or why it's called that in the context of a live performance (kind of a Springsteen thing)?
