I'm really interested in seeing the documentary. Sort of like "We're big in Japan." Could never happen in the internet age, methinks.

Weird but true story: my ex girlfriend cockblocked me on this Rodriguez dude's cute touring keyboard player at a Broken Social Scene show some years ago.

He's playing in Seattle this fall; I saw an ad for it while waiting for Franz Ferdinand to start.

For some reason Mormons are infatuated with famous people who are / were Mormon ("were" almost always applies). Makes them feel less weird, I guess.

I learned that apparently ballroom dancing is really big in SLC, thanks to two ballroom dancers from SLC on So You Think You Can Dance. I did not know this before. I don't know if the dancers on the show are Mormons. They're blonde.

It's hotter than ew outside. I hate it. I'm waiting to see what the weather will be on Saturday - I'm supposed to go schlep out to the east side to see Norah Jones at an outdoor venue, but it's GA, gates open at 5, and if I want to get there early to get a decent spot, I'll have to sit out there in the hottest part of the day.

If it's only in the 80s, I'll do it. If it's over 90 ... sorry, Norah.

Yeah, it is. Not lying, I have 2 friends who were on on the Utah State University and University of Utah ball room dance teams in college. Both are male. Both always used the "It's a good way to meet girls" response when you'd ask them why in the hell they'd want to be on a ballroom dance team.

Friggin' Utah.

Ha! There are 2 white guys (former Mormon missionaries) in Japan who are (well, were) fairly popular comedian / celebrities too (Kent Derricott, Kent Gilbert). People used to ask us about them as well. I too had never heard of them until arriving in the country.

I'm friends with Kent Gilbert's son, Brett. He used to tell us that his dad was popular in Japan, but we never believed him. I guess I should have. This was pre-internet days so you couldn't just look it up.

Alright, since I have nothing to do tonight, I took the time out to do a bit of HISTORIAN work. Here, for your viewing pleasure, is every title for all 64 Random Music threads. Included is the number (I eliminated the Roman numerals for ease), the title, the date the thread was created, and who created each thread.

Why are there a few without creators? Did they will themselves into existence?

If I ever become a spy, my code name will be SCUBA for sure. If it's taken, then SILO.

I know some were done by committee. You may have come up with the title, and someone else created it.
