How have I fallen for anything? I'm observing this from the outside, not as some illusion. I think what was uninteresting and it makes me very unexcited for Chris Jericho's return.

I'm not angry at Chris Jericho. I'm not annoyed at him. I'm annoyed that the WWE chose such an approach, because it's not unique. It's cheating the fans, really.

We can discuss this ad nauseum obviously. Lets just agree to disagree. I look forward to seeing the storyline unfold between Jericho and Punk. Should be an awesome feud.

According to sources, Wrestlemania 29 might be taking place at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Do you guys think this is true?

If so, Wrestlemania next year may as well be the coldest Wrestlemania in history.

Why doesn't Vince hold a future Wrestlemania at Soldier Field while he's at it?

Not that I've cared about wrestling in about 10 years... but wouldn't one assume that 30 would be at MSG? Why would they do back to back wrestlemanias in the same city/metro area?

Maybe I'm missing something... why would one assume that 30 would be at MSG?

I doubt they'll return to arenas anytime soon. They're marketing the thing as the equivalent to a Super Bowl. It's 'the grandest stage of them all'. The larger-than-life atmosphere perfectly fits the field, and they sell.

This year they jacked the prices up some ridiculous number, particularly with the lower sections. I'm fairly certain it still sold out pretty quickly.

Wrestlemanias 4 and 5 were held in Atlantic City.

Holding Wrestlemania at MSG every 10 years is like a WWE tradition. But it's not a tradition that's written in stone.

And if Wrestlemania is now "too big for arenas," then they're going to miss out on holding "the grandest stage of them all" in their biggest markets (i.e. Chicago, Boston, Montreal, etc.).

Are you suggesting Chicago, Boston, and Montreal don't have stadiums?

Ah, gotcha.

Yeah, they make their money off of the PPVs of course. But again, take a look at the incredible increase in price this year. The tickets were marked up by like... 5 times. And for the most part it still sold out.

Seeing as WrestleMania is usually held in late March/early April, there's no way WWE holds the event in an outdoor venue in a cold weather city.

Royal Rumble was last night. No titles changes took place. The winner of the Rumble match was Sheamus. He won by eliminating Jericho.

Oh yeah, Mike Tyson will be a part of the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame class. Iron Mike, of course, was involved in the WM 14 build up when Stone Cold was gonna be facing HBK for the WWF title. Damn, I can't believe it has already been 14 years since that happened.

I know what the deal is with those two, but they're still two huge exemptions. I assume Sammartino will some day be inducted posthumously, unless he has a change of heart. Savage sounds like such a complex issue. I'm still surprised they gave as much a tribute as they did last year.

Well, there was a strong rumor either last year or the year before, that the Warrior was actually invited by McMahon to be inducted, but Warrior declined.

I don't see Bruno ever being inducted. I'm sure he's got it in his will to refuse even after his death. You can't blame McMahon for that one. He's tried, but Bruno has refused. Bruno has held a grudge for decades, so this is no surprise.

I think I read some article by the Warrior about a meeting with McMahon that didn't end so well. Sounded like a load of crap to me.

Yeah, I'm thinking as the years go by, the Warrior's time will be forgotten.
This year's HOF will be interesting because of Flair showing up with the Four Horsemen. Flair, of course, is currently a TNA employee.

I don't know that you could ever forget The Ultimate Warrior. Even though it was a short burst, it was a huge burst.

I'm not sure whether I like Flair or Warrior less.

At last night's Raw, HHH returned and was just about to fire Johnny Ace when he was interupted by... The Undertaker. Taker made his way down to the ring and he and H had a staredown. H patted Taker on the back and left the ring. Taker was surprised by this and just glared up at the WM 28 sign that was hanging up in the rafters.

So we've got Taker/HHH II at WM 28. But, will HHH paint Taker as the underdog? He did lose to Taker last year, but Taker had to be helped from the ring after their match. That was the first time that's ever happened to him at a WM. Stay tuned.

Where do you think they will hold next year's Wrestlemania then?

The only rumors I've heard are East Rutherford and Dallas.

And Super Bowl will be held in East Rutherford in 2014. If the Super Bowl can be hosted in New Jersey in early February, then I'd imagine that Vince would be open to hosting Mania in the same venue in late March/early April.

I'm sure they could devise some method to keep the ring heated? Heh, sounds ridiculous really.

I love how this WM really looks to be a nostalgic one. Especially since I'm going. Got The Rock, Taker, Triple H, Jericho, sadly no Edge :(, Kane (with a mask)... fun!
