DAMN IT! I should've voted for their side projects, too.
I just confirmed I know far too much about The Wiggles, didn't I?
I certainly didn't know they had side projects... are they still aimed at kids?

Haha, no I'm sure Nicole has told me where he lived when they came to Australia. For some reason I thought it was the eastern suburbs or somewhere out Yarra Valley way. I've been wrong before though.
He's a South Australian boy originally, isn't he?
Plus unlike Nick Cave, he's not exactly famous internationally.
I think you're right, I have a feeling he was in the east or south-east somewhere. Now (or as of the '90s, anyway) he's apparently in Wonga Park.
Your infallibility is intact! *L*
RYM informs me that Paul Kelly was indeed born in Adelaide. I know that some of his eighties stuff did well in New Zealand, like To Her Door, Dumb Things, and Before Too Long. Maybe a minor hit or two overseas, the usual Aussie/Kiwi music cliche of the lower reaches of the UK chart? But I don't really know. So few Aussie acts truly break through in the UK, and even less in the US. They're still doing better than New Zealand though; Neil Finn is the only Kiwi I know of who has cracked the US top ten, twice with Crowded House. The best Split Enz ever managed in the US was #60 with I Got You.
(Just before clicking post, I realised I forgot about Flight of the Conchords and their popularity in the US, but I prefer to forget about them and the fact they're from my country. No idea how well they've charted there but everybody seems to know them for some stupid reason.)
Hey Alison, we can get trams that arrive near East Richmond at 6:10 and 6:20 ... which would be better?
Not at all. Sam and Greg have solo albums, Murray plays in a band that mostly plays pubs, and Jeff and Anthony were in a band prior to becoming Wiggles.I certainly didn't know they had side projects... are they still aimed at kids?

Knowing me, go for the 6:20 tram... which will probably also be late. *L*
All of those records are just wonderful, and Axver introduced me to at least three of them, so many thanks to him.
Glasgow, Scotland.
In one of the stupider moments in my life, I paid $120 to someone over PayPal for a replica Tom Baker-era sonic screwdriver. This was in April... I still haven't got it, and the seller hasn't replied to the last couple of emails I sent.
Karma for being such a geekily stupid geek?

Also, I sent you gmail. Sorry about last night, damn atmospheric discharge.
Too late to contact PayPal to have the payment reversed or anything?
Yay for a mediocre indie pop band performing at school.
Anyone we know?
No. It was amusing, however, at how hard the singer tried. He was attempting to do a mix of Thom Yorke and Peter Garrett in terms of dancing at times, as well as trying to connect with the crowd up the front (I was a good 20-30m away) by singing into their faces. He also had to tell the crowd which song was a love song and which song was a break-up song. I mean, I can't blame him for effort but he was clearly trying too hard.
Oh, and the music was the usual JJJ indie dance pop fare, made worse by the crappy sound quality in the gym.
Could be worse. Could be the battle of the bands my school held. Instrumental Nirvana covers that sounded nothing like Nirvana? Some girls trying to write deep and meaningful lyrics and perform as a girl group? Yeeeaaahhhhh.
Oh yeah, better go ...!
See you guys there, Ax
Hooray for essay finishings, Vlad!
