I just stopped at Target and got some obnoxious St. Patrick's themed socks. Will wear them with my Ireland rugby shirt tomorrow (and a skirt of course).

Ugh - I have a race on Sunday and I kind of don't really care about it. That in itself makes me sad. I was just reading the email about set-up and bike racking and body marking and stuff and it didn't even get me excited. All I could think was "Damn. That's early in the morning." I've lost my mojo.

Thora, are you organizing an event for work tomorrow?

I'm getting a haircut tomorrow! My first since September. I'm nervous though. My regular stylist left the salon so I'll be going to someone she recommended. *fingers crossed*
 
It's not a huge event, as it was planned so last minute, but we're doing a few things. There's a limerick contest, a "guess how many gold coins (chocolate filled, of course) are in the pot" contest, various fun treats throughout the day, and that's about it. Should be good! :D I'm on the events planning committee, so I'm pretty involved in all the fun stuff we do at the office.


I'm sorry you're losing your race mojo. :hug: I definitely understand the feeling. I'm very unmotivated right now too.

I might have to listen to some Cranberries and stuff tonight... I saw Afro Celt Sound System last night, that's like half Irish or something... *L* They put on an amazing show, either way. :hyper:

Yay for St. Patrick's Day and Irishness. I've noticed that pretty much every guy I like is either fully Irish or at least half-so. I seem to have a thing for that trait :wink:.

I've got a small bit of Irish in my ancestry. So...woo?

Yeah the cough will last. Though some cough syrup may help with that. :) Glad you're feeling better too.

I don't think I could do that no matter how cute!!! Only and it's a maybe not a absolute yes -- if it was Bono, Edge or Bruce.
Thanks goodness for other antibiotics. I developed an allergy to penicillin back in the 80's. Every once in a while I keep thinking I should make up my own version of the Alert Bracelet or necklace about it.

Happy St Paddy's Day K & all!

:grumpy: I couldn't find my Kelly Green Yarn last night!
I used a light, sage green instead to make the headband and added in the shamrocks while I stitched.
I am wearing it today around town, and of course will wear it when I see UF :hyper: tomorrow night !

Pretty good! I'm fine with the mid 40's F average, but :hyper: to have the occasional mid-50's days!
Tomorrow we get near 70F! :drool:
BUT I never want too much of that tho, so early-- makes me think we'll get too much :yikes::sad: 100F + in JUly, Aug! :no:

I can see a little bit of yellow blossoms of forthysia coming out of their buds! :heart::happy:

Breakfast/lunch at the pub was great! I had Kilkenny Irish Red ale (which they'd colored green of course) and a bowl of Irish stew. That was awesome beer, I hadn't had it before and I liked it a lot! Our timing was perfect getting there at 11 there was no crowd at all. By the time we finished it was packed with a wait to get in the door! It was a good day :D Hubby is cooking corned beef and cabbage, carrots, and potatoes now. It smells sooo good.

(And I wore a Green Day shirt. I wanted to wear U2, but don't have a green U2 shirt :( )

And.... :hmm:...maybe I can go up to 42nd ST & Broadway and watch Bono being chased down the street by angry theater critics!

I guess it depends what sort of classes you have together... anything romantic? If you did drama you could wind up having to do a kissing scene or something... :wink:

Well yeah, phlegm's not very pleasant, and men do whinge a lot when they're sick, but I guess it's worth it for the right bloke... :wink:

I think I only got a rash the first time I was given penicillin as a small child, but apparently the whole thing with allergies is that you never know if it'll be a more severe reaction the next time.

Comet, we're like twinzies!
Mr.Z put the corned beef/cabbage/carrots/potatoes in the slow cooker (the one I got him for Christmas, remember? :giggle: ) this morning.

AND I had that exact same convo in my head. "I wanna wear a U2 shirt but none of them are green". Well, I have an olive green vertigo tee but it's a little too worn to wear to work.

K, there will be no pics of my haircut. My bangs are waaaaaaay too short :sad: and I have to play with the rest of it. I don't think I like it.
