As if! Be serious people.

Obviously I was cranking Limp Bizkit.

You're not telling me something I don't know

Actually, I'm more grateful I didn't have last.fm in 2004, given how I listened to so little non-U2 music.

I remember once claiming that U2's albums were so diverse and covered so many bases that you didn't need any other bands, or some such bollocks.

Ok, all I've listened to today is R&B/rap. I let Random Number Generator pick my last album of the night and it selected Avey Tare's album. This is such a random fork of a direction, I'm not sure if my brain will be able to handle it.

Hah, be interested in how that works out.

The dinner we're cooking right now looks set to be delicious.

I'm not liking this at all. It might be the same as with MPP and I just am not used to this kind of music, but..I really have no desire to return to this album..ever.

I just find MPP to be pretty boring and bland, to be honest. Kind of tempted to listen to some of their earlier stuff just to see what it's like exactly, though.

Are you denying your love of MB20

Such love is not permitted to be denied.

Put it this way: thank god I didn't have last.fm in 1998.

I don't think it even existed back then!

It's really impossible to listen to only one artist almost exclusively, no matter how large their discography may be. Lucky for you, I was also guilty of thinking the same thing.

(More or less the 2 are still my top band)

It's a trap!

Don't do it, Ax, they're going to Lance's-Mom your ass!

Travis likes to make fun of just how far ahead of any other band U2 is on my last.fm, and I don't think there's ever going to be anything I"m going to be able to do to change that. Not that I don't want them to be my top band, but yeesh!

I still find it somewhat amusing that Traviud hasn't got an artist with over 300 plays. The complete opposite of you.

Luckily for me, despite my earlier (and still consistent) listenings of U2 they're not that far ahead of the rest of the pack.

And the respectable Nautilus Pompilius are rising in the ranks pretty quickly because of their sheer respectability.

Axver, Random Music Talk. NOW.

Haha, that's fantastic.

But alas, I'm off to bed and shan't participate ... for now.

Exactly my point!

Raise your hand if you remember when last.fm was just called Audioscrobbler. :raisedhand: :thosewerethedays:

I admit I was happy the day Porcupine Tree passed U2 on my last.fm. Looks like Crowded House should cruise past them soon enough too.

What bugs the hell out of me is how high Dream Theater are. I literally haven't listened to a single song by them in over a year and they're still so bloody high on my overall chart.

Sometimes, I admit to having the tendency to try and get particular artists ahead of over particular artists (I'm trying to be rid of Coldplay in my top 6).

Wait... Nelly's a bloke now??

*knowsnothingofhip-hopoutsideAustralia*

I quite like the Manic's album from this year. Well, I quite like most of the ones I've heard, but the new one is right up there.

Can I remember its name after listening to it at least twice today? No, no I can not.

Pray, tell me, because I'm likely to forget later, where might I obtain some Pure Reason Revolution? And which album should I start with?

Well, if you want Proggy PRR - The Dark Third, more of the electrometal stuff - Amor Vincit Omnia

I use various streaming sites myself to listen to music. Especially Grooveshark.

God, I got quite enough sleep and I'm still managing to feel dysfunctional in a very tired sense. I just forgot where F is in the alphabet. F FOR FAIL.
