Sucks to be you then, since we're going to Milwaukee to see the Brewers/Cubs this summer.

Oh no, that's dandy. Seeing a game live =/= sitting in front of your TV for an hour, waiting for the pitcher's gum to lose its flavor so he can take out more.

Baseball > Football

Good for New Orleans. Brees picked them apart and they pretty much allowed it to happen. Also, Jim Caldwell doesn't blink.

ah baseball, it's going to be awesome watching the yankees go back-to-back...

Anyway, though, yeah, the Super Bowl and all.

Yeah, come on, Sue. You may only cheer for a team if you have provided sufficient evidence of having been a fan all along.

Damn Cori, what did you do to my computer?:D
When I tried to answer you it froze and I had to reboot??
Don't do that again.

But I can show you the Bourbon Street sign I stole off the street pole because it was hanging by one screw and I thought I should repair it and then I had it in my hand's and at that point in 1975 I figured I should just keep it. Which prove's nothing.

My first Saint's game I actually went too was on a first date with a guy who ask me to a game back when Archie Manning was the quarterback in "75 - I think. They lost but I've never given up hope.

Hey I'm still having some issues with posting, if you don't see this well I'll get back to you, or not.

You're good, sue4u2  don't worry about it. I was just being crabby (Lance's mom even works during the Super Bowl, yes). More posting in these threads is always welcome. We need someone to balance out the Pats fans in here.

fyi: the game will be replayed on nfl network on wednesday night

I'm sorry, but it's not the first time she's done this.

That's so true. I tend to do that, especially if I'm stuck at home and jump on line to see if anyone is interested. (or I've had a few drinks)
Does it bother people? So get use to it. haha.
It probably won't be the last time.
Since we are moving on to basketball/ baseball, you probably won't see me in here much. Seriously, I can't keep up with all the teams.
Unless it's college - Alabama and or Auburn, untill Auburn play the Tide.
Then it's all Alabama
Does that answer the question's? What was the question?
Stay tuned for the next wave of excitement.

About two minutes after the game ended, everyone in the room (about 20 Eagles fans) kind of at the same time realized how disappointing it is that the Eagles still haven't won the Super Bowl. And really haven't come all that close.

The Colts coaching was just awful. To me the game was lost not with the Manning interception but Caldwell wanting to run out the clock before the half. Manning is one of the best ever in the final two minutes of either half. Just watch the last two playoff games. The game turned around when they decided to go conservative and not let Manning try to add to the lead. It went from a possible 13-3 or 17-3 lead at halftime to a 10-6 one. Then trying for a 51 yard field goal was also a horrible call.

I know Peyton is going to get much of the blame and the choker tag will surface again but he and that offense played well. Yes, the interception was horrible but with the way the defense was playing Peyton was bound to force one. Plus I think most people would agree that even if the Colts tied it up the Saints would drive for the game-winning field goal anyways. The blame should fall on the coaches. It is the same old story every year with the Colts. They get conservative and the defense falls apart. This game proved what I've been considering since last season. While the Colts teams are statistically great with Hall of Fame and hall of very good players, they are not championship quality teams. I think those players are good enough to win in the regular season but when it takes team efforts against the very best they can't always overcome the team's flaws. Those flaws were exposed today.

The other problem with the 51-yard FG was the 3rd-and-12 that preceded it -- you have to have an option to pick up small yardage there instead of sending everyone deep. Pick up 6 yards there and then you can decide between a 45-yard FG and going for it on fourth down.

I agree here. They might as well have gone for it, they had a great chance to get a pass, better than a long field goal.

I think the biggest factor in the game was the onside kick coming out of the half. They resorted to trickery and it worked for them.

Wow, I just watched on ESPN's First Take and they showed multiple replays of the game clinching INT TD and it shows Manning clearly getting clipped in the back while he's attempting to stop Porter from scoring. Imagine if they called a penalty on that? But, they didn't and good teams usually wind up getting good breaks and I'd say New Orleans got a big one there.

Even if they had called a penalty on it, it still would have been New Orleans ball. Who knows what would have happened next, but it would have been a good bet that they would have scored at least a field goal and held on to win.

And speaking of the refs, let's give credit where credit is due. They called a sound game last night.

yeah, i saw that right away last night. other than that, it was a surprisingly clean game for the refs for once.
