Vogan, Togo Superthread

Back to doing what I do best - killing the superthread, one stupid post at a time.

I went out to grab some wine. I think tonight shall be a good night.

A cabernet sauvignon and a cienna. I've never tried cienna before, so I thought I'd give it a go and see what I think.

It's a variety of red grape, sweet and meant to be served chilled. The CSIRO down here came up with it by crossing cabernet sauvignon with ... some Spanish grape variety, I forget which.

I think it's basically meant to be a red equivalent of moscato.

So I'll see how it goes pretty soon.

You usually get the Brown Brothers moscato rosa, right Ax?

Just the standard moscato. I have tried their pink moscato and enjoy it, but I favour the standard one.

Incidentally, the cienna is Brown Brothers too. Not sure who else does a cienna, actually ...

Argh, my friend Jen is annoying. She knows I'm a liberal and an atheist. Yet she sends me all her conservative end-of-the-world bullcrap. Plus she spells my name with only one "s" (i.e. "Jes") despite everyone else, including ME spelling it with two. Luckily for her, she lives in California now so I can't kill her with sticks.

Anyway, that's the thought I'd like to leave you with. Ax, enjoy your wine. Hi/Bye Bonnie.

You know, I still have a fascination with eschatology and end-of-the-world theology, but it's more a morbid fascination ... especially since most of what's popular today is based on the worst Biblical interpretation you can imagine.

Have a good one!

I'm glad that someone made this post.

It goes well. Not many assignments left, a couple of exams and we're home free. And I see you've finished your thesis! Much hearty congratulations. :applaud: :hi5:

Incidentally, have I mentioned that I absolutely love the drumming on Please?

Thank you! Now I just need to write a research proposal for my PhD application ...

You up for poutine tomorrow as a celebration? It will have to be later, as I will be doing a live setlist. We're talking 2:30-3pm here.

I actually might not be able to stay that late, I'm going shooting (yes, shooting) with some friends tomorrow at 5 or so, I think, so we might have to celebrate some other time or some other way. :hmm:

What're you gonna be checking out for your PhD?

Huh! Ah well, yes, some other time. We could alternatively do it before the gig, but that may be too early for all concerned. What's your Friday schedule? I'd happily do some poutine respect after my class finishes at 1pm.

I'll be doing the history and demise of New Zealand's provinces.

I have nothing on this Friday, but I'm happy to come in for TCEPSER. That'll work out well, actually, means I get tomorrow off to stay home, and then go to the city on Friday.

Sounds good! It's been almost a month since we've had some respect, and this just is not on.

Respect to you all, I am here at 5:00 AM in the morning getting ready to see U2. :hyper:.

Though no one will be here during the day, expect GA updates from the line!

That sounds pretty good! Anyone else there with you, or are the dedicated fans all sleeping still?

Not AT the venue yet, still have a few more things to do, but I'm meeting Zooropa Fit there, so that'll be cool. And now I'm off to the store for supplies
