I just want the dates announced so I can plan. Like if they had announced Paris in June next year, probably wouldn't happen. But now that I know it's confirmed, I can hopefully start putting aside a little bit of money each week. Gives me a chance to pay for passports, airfare, hotel, and boarding for the pups.

That's the way I understood it. If you go to the page where the tour announcements are, there's a link to FAQs, and it says so in there. I was half asleep when I skimmed it last night though, so I'd read it over, don't take my word for it.
 
I gotta side with VP, though, making people renew just to get a new presale code stinks of McGuinne$$.

Yeah, I mean you might have to pay for some of that stuff upfront but hopefully you can put it on a credit card or something. I just don't think it would be fiscally responsibe for me to put a trip for 3 to Europe on a credit card. And I don't think, even with my little side job, I'd be able to put enough away. I'll just have to wait for NA dates. I said I'd only go to a show in Northern California on the next leg, but we'll see how that goes :wink: I may not have that much restraint.

You know, I actually like PMc a lot, and hate to see him dissed around here so much. He is a *very* smart businessman who didn't know all that much about the music industry, and in spite of (or maybe because of?) that, look what the 5 of them were able to accomplish.

But this just fucking sucks. I'm not sure who's decision it was, I'm not even sure that him and the band are all that involved in the fan club on a hands on level, but whoever did this fails at life.
 
I just read this on the 2010 tour page:

1) Unused pre-sale codes will still be valid
2) New pre-sale codes will also be issued to current subscribers
3) New subscribers (i.e. those who only sign-up to U2.com today (after the new tour dates announcement) will fall under a new category for the presale. Previously Boots subscribers were the last in line - now Boots subscribers can buy tickets on the last day of pre-sale date in the morning whilst the newest category of subscribers (called Magnificent) will have to wait until the pm.
4) Certainly for the forthcoming North American shows people with unused presale codes can buy the usual four tickets four/different shows with the old presale code and another 4/4 with the new code. Not sure about Europe though.

We're entitled to what we believe in etc, but to come out and trash someone like that is the lowest low I have ever seen. Words can not even express how I feel right now. That's pretty disgusting to go out and do that!:angry:

If you knew who I was,etc. You would probably not have done that and you would of understand how I felt than. It's different now, BUT WHATEVER!

I don't have ANY problems with people who have different opinions from mine. I DO have a MAJOR problem when people say shit without thinking and just spout BULLSHIT over the internet while they have no FUCKING CLUE what they're talking about.

Go get a history lesson, get a properly formulated opinion with decent arguments and then come back for a decent discussion. Playing the victim role ain't working here, WE did not compare Obama to Hitler. YOU DID.

Last rumour I heard - over 6 months ago now - had the boys back here in March 2010 (I can haz Adam birfday show? :shifty:), but I haven't heard anything since...

Plus there's the rumour that they'll be staying in Vancouver after the last show to finish up the album - it has them staying there till Jan, which I doubt... I could, however, believe them staying there till Dec if they wanted to finish off the album there *g*

:uhoh: It'd need to coincide with summer holidays though. I can't really afford missing uni since I'm already going to take a year longer to finish cause I miss a couple of subjects.

Adam birthday show would be nice! :yes: We'd have to get him a gift!

The most recent rumours have the NA dates at June and July '10.

Like I said, the rumour I heard is 6 months old now so who knows :shrug:
