20 made free throws gets me a free Chik-Fil-A chicken sandwich. So I've got that going for me, which is nice.

One made lay up, one made free throw, one made three, and one made half courter got me a year's worth.

It wasn't Tech. It was aggy. But still, one of the coolest moments of my life.

My god what a bunch of thugs. I hope someone reviews that trip on Kobe and does something about it.

Smith needs to die a slow, painful death.

we understand. you like the lakers.

and of course, nobody on the lakers would never act like a thug.

yes, it's just good hard nosed basketball... until it's done to your team. then it's thuggery.

you want an elbow?

there's your stinkin' elbow. and no flagrant foul was called

Why doesn't Dwight get the same "respect" that LeBron gets then, you know?

'cause as much as people want to make dwight howard out to be the new shaq, he's not. not even close. he's still a limited offensive player. that's why. if he was a more polished player and had better footwork and better moves, then he'd get the same calls. he's still quite awkward in what he does... although he's much improved compared to where he was a few years ago (thanks to patrick).

as much as shaq was a bull, he had amazing footwork for a man of his size. his moves, even the power ones, were smooth and fluid. howard is not on his level. he's not nearly as difficult to guard as shaq was, or lebron is. it's not just the brute strength... it's the strength and athleticism combined with dynamic skill.

Ah, knew it was one or the other.

I agree, I was only speaking of the crazy disparity between foul calls between him and LeBron. The only way you can stop him from getting to the rim is by throwing about 2-3 guys at him at a time, or holding him down by the arms. If LeBron's involved in any contact, then it's all she wrote... seriously. He should not have fouled out of Games 1 and 3, half of those calls were ticky-tack shit.

He's got that ugly running jumphook and spin-move about midway into the paint and that's it... he'll get better over time, but I don't think he'll ever be as gifted offensively as Shaq, Hakeem, Ewing. If anything, he's like a younger David Robinson. He's got about a year or two to go before he starts getting to his offensive potential.

Dante Jones should definitely get suspended for that, but come on now, that was pretty much the only thuggish play of the night. Well, except Bynum's flagrant. Yeah, yeah, he was aiming for the ball, but he sure as hell didn't mind if he took out the rest of the body to get to it.

But other than Dante's dirty play, Denver looked fantastic last night - the starters (well, 'cept for Melo) on through the bench just plain out-played and out-worked LA.

I agree about Smith, though. He played really well, but I can't fucking stand assholes who have to show off after every nice shot they make. If he were to consistently play the way he played last night, minus the show-off bullshit, I'd have tons more respect for him. Kid's got skills, no doubt, but his ego gets the best of him. Shit, if he can play the way he played last night for the rest of the series, I don't think LA will be able to take it.

Kobe doesn't like getting taunted. He's probably watching those Smith post-shot faces on repeat getting himself psyched up for the next game. The last thing Denver wants is Kobe coming in with an even bigger chip on his shoulder, because it usually spells serious pain for whoever has to face him.

I don't think Denver wants to have a Game 7 in LA at ALL. I think Denver will give it all they've got to win Game 5 in LA so that they can close it out in Denver in Game 6.

or unsuspecting resort employees.

Sir, you're on fire.

I don't care about the hard fouls. I just get sick of the inconsistency. If Kobe elbows Artest like he did, he should be suspended for a game. That's what happened to Howard, Alston slapped House in the back of the head and he got suspended. Fisher... I mean, the only reason he wasn't suspended I believe is because he's Kobe and he is who the people want to see.

He elbowed Artest, did he do that stuff to Battier during that series too? But he gets away with it.

I'm also just sick of "the NBA reviewed the play and lowered the flagrant to a foul." Either make the call, or miss it and move on.

My thoughts during the final time out of the game:

Question 1: Why the fuck did the Magic take two three-point shots when they were only down 2? Alright, Lewis made that last one, but it's rather risky, no?

Question 2: Haven't the Magic learned their lesson from Game 2? If Lebron can shoot a game-winning three with 1 second left on the clock, you think 4 seconds is going to present a challenge?

It's not one bad call, it's a bullshit foul on Orlando when King Midas is going in, and then a no-call when the Magic apparently aren't even allowed to inbound.

The mighty Cavs are one miracle shot and one missed free throw from being swept.

I feel like that should have been a no-call there on LeCrab's final drive. I also had a strong feeling he was going to brick one of those two free throws. Alas. Overtime. Go Magic.

That was one of the most ridiculous calls I've seen in a long time. LeBron wasn't even trying to make a play. He was just trying to drive the lane as hard and as fast as he could to get the whistle blown. He slipped in trying to do so.

Bailout.
