Well, I guess since this is Zoo Confessionals, I'm looking for some confessions.

Have you ever been dumped via an e-mail or a text message?

A couple of years ago, I was dumped by an ex via an e-mail. Immediately afterward, I tried to get in touch with her, but she never spoke to me again. We did exchange text messages and e-mails, but I never saw her face again or heard her voice. I was with her for 3 1/2 years.

When I first started dating this ex a number of years ago, I did actually break up with her via a text message after we had only been seeing each other a few months. But, the reason for that was because we were having this ridiculous argument via text messages and it eventually escalated into me dumping her. A few weeks later, we did get back together and we lasted a few more years, but she finally got rid of me via e-mail. For many months afterward it hurt like a motherfucker. I had helped her and her family through many tough times. But sometimes, all good things must come to an end.

Yeah, when I was 14, lol. Actually, we both knew it "wasn't going to work out" and one night he IMed me for good, saved me the trouble.

It never happened to me, but I've done it.

The guy was a jerk anyway.

Well, I had an internet "boyfriend" who I never met who I dumped by email.

The whole duration of the "relationship" took place online anyway, so it was only fitting.

Never by email or text but my first love broke up with me by writing it in my yearbook in 11th grade. He told me not to read what he wrote until I got home but I thought it was going to be something all lovey-dovey so I read it between classes and felt like I got punched in the stomach :|

Always in person.

Otherwise you're a coward.

Well, in my case, this ex sometimes had a problem with confrontations. Obviously, she felt this was an easier way. Afterward, she did confess, via an e-mail, that it was wrong to do.

But, yes, I did feel her move was cowardly as well. Full grown adults shouldn't be doing that sort of thing through an e-mail. She never had any concern that I was going to wig out on her. She just didn't want to do the dirty work in person.

Jesus, that's horrible! Did you ever get any sort of revenge on the dude?

That is awful.

I got dumped via aol im after traveling all the way to connecticut, spending the weekend together and saying I love you to each other. We met through a stupid aol chat room. He was a disgusting piece of shit anyways since he was trying to get in a bunch of girls pants. Even my own sister and a really good friend(or so I thought).

I also got dumped via email 2x. But I remained friends with the both of them.

Wow that's really harsh. :crack:

Soooo, since I broke up with some guy via e-mail, does that make me a coward? I mean, the reason why I did was because I was afraid of getting into a shouting match over the phone. Besides, we met online, so I figured an e-mail would be the way out, since that was the way it began.

And like I said, the guy was a total jerk and I regret to this day even bothering to go out with him.
