I actually like it. It is simplistic and intruiging at the same time. In my opinion, it fits the album title perfectly
Yes LMF....I agree with you and now I'm hoping it's the album cover if for no other reason than to spite all the a-holes who have posted negative comments regarding the possibility that the image by this Japanese artist may be the album cover.

after all those 20 people could have got their idea for their album covers from the Larry "Sea And Sky" video that was posted on U2.com.....no if fact I'm willing to bet that's exactly where they got the idea from.

I dont think you should assume they dont, cos lets face it, you dont know how much or how little they know about art.
Also, you shouldnt assume everyone who made a fake cover just copied Larrys video. Its not hard to make a distinction between the sea and sky having a horizon (or not as the case may be). This Japanese artist has certainly managed without Larrys influence.

Hence the reason why they MAY be going with the Japanese artists' image to begin with.
I certainly don't assume to know anything about everyone's artistic talents..I'd be a fool to believe otherwise...however there is an inordinate amount of negativity with regard to this possible album cover image and that's what I was responding to,alright?..don't presume you know what I do or don't know

The ocean should be less calm, and there should be something representative or derivative from the album's lyrics in the sky or in the sea, just makes it more interesting and meaningful.
Maybe a war correspondant in a dinghy floating with pen and paper in hand, and a mobile phone tower rising into the sky. From where the mobile phone tower is positioned we don't know, and from where the correspondant is floating from we also don't know, but that's the idea. There is No Line On The Horizon, so we are left uncertain. If there were a line, we would know where all these things are coming from.......

i can imagine a cover similar to the Sea/Sky concept, but with a bluish tinge in the vein of the Universal press release, with the same font as that as well. that's probably what we'll see.
