One more inning. Cubs down 3-1
It's not just the Melbourne media, most of the media always seems to love to play the negative with league.
I'm always genuinely surprised to see a positive league story in Australian media. It's like how when the Tigers won in 2005, first joint-venture to win it, big fan favourite team, great game....and the media focuses on the players dropping one or two f-bombs after the game during the victory lap at about 9:30pm.
And with all due respect to the older players, I've seen older games. They're slow, far less skillful. How you can claim today's league is boring I'll never know. Unless you're comparing the NRL to the Super League in Europe. That league murders the NRL in pace and skill.
Don't worry, i aint gonna be drunk anymore.
Its just the normal Vlad here.
You're normal?
I honestly don't remember such blatantly negative media coverage of league up in Queensland, and I wouldn't expect it in Sydney either. Melbourne or New Zealand, it's a given. I mean, I remember Queensland media sensationalising negative shit, but not quite to the level or in the manner it's done down here. More in a "look what the bastards are doing to your game!" sense rather than "god this is a dumb sport played by idiots north of the border".
Hah, the 1986 players were saying that today's game is too slow, not enough emphasis on throwing the ball around like there supposedly was in their day.
Goddamnit, I wish there were some Melburnians around. I have a photo and I simply can't place where it is in the CBD.
It's still often pretty bad. I can understand Queensland loving it - league to Queensland is AFL to Victoria. You'd have to be quite a tool to believe everything said by the Melbourne media in regards to an OMG RIVAL SPORT though.
I laugh at the 1986 players. Seriously, take off the rose coloured glasses guys. The game has improved in leaps and bounds since then.
Whats the photo of?
I'm from Adelaide, is that close enough?
0/3
One closeish.
Nah, it's a photo on a specific street in the CBD, but I can't figure out which fucking one. I'm pretty sure it's Collins Street but I'd prefer it if somebody else familiar with the street could confirm for me. I mean, I'm almost never on Collins.
Unnecessary announcement:
I want to have sex with Anne Hathaway really bad.
It's over. I'm going to bed.
Prediction: 1/7.
This prbobably won't work but worth a shot... Try Google Earth maybe?
