I'll take a drive down there next week and will check out the situation for those who want to book early. The Hard Rock is a possibility but it's about 15 mins. away and there's nothing nice around it. And if you're going to spend that kind of $ you might as well be in a nice area. The casino there is fun and there are plenty of restaurants right there at the hotel "complex" so it might be good for some. It would be
great for a meetup the night before or after the concert.

I'll check it out and will report back.

At least not one you'd want to walk to. I think closest decent one might be the Quality Inn. Now if you have a car, there are more choices. One that doesn't look too bad is El Palacio Sports Hotel rooms are 89/nt it's about 2.5 mls to stadium gets 3 1/2 stars on Tripadvisor. Sounds kind of dicey though. Some reviews awful some good. You really need to have a car to get around, that's for sure. There is public transport but...hard to know what they'll have for the concert, at least at this point.

Thank you for tips on hotels

Oh my God I was just saw this leak from Ticketmaster, and I'm totally up for Miami! :hyper::hyper:

I am sure that U2 will play two shows at Miami due to the high population in South Florida which is more than 5 million people within three counties!

Oh and about the hotels, there's a high-end hotel in South Beach called The Delano. It's fancy enough for the lads, seeing that the hotel is known for its celibrity clientele; even Coldplay stayed there in May 2009.

So if anybody wants to go on a stalking fest, make sure we check The Delano in South Beach for autographs and a picture. :hmm:

They stayed at the Setai on South Beach last time on Vertigo. I heard it's not worth the money, so they may stay somewhere else this time. The Fountainbleu is newly renovated and I think a lot of celebs stay there...but they may opt for something a bit more private, some upscale boutique hotel on South Beach.

It's a nice feeling to live in the place where most of you want to visit!!

Any questions that you guys may have, please feel free to ask!!

Kristen fly across the entire country LoL it's not that far really :reject:

Hard Rock is driving distance from Landshark, and it has all ammenities imagineable, including night life entertainment within its own hotel!! Then again, the "hot spot" in Miami remains South Beach!! specifically...Ocean Drive

I'd be coming from good old Canada

How far away is South Beach from Landshark?

I'm thinking the Hard Rock might be worth saving up for for a few nights?

Some of the reviews of the El Palacio make me nervous :yikes:

EL PALACIO is nothing to brag about, then again, it is the closest one to the stadium, so if all out alcohol consumption is your plan, it then may work for you, that, and also, you avoid driving long distances and traffic to get to the gig, as it relatively close to Landshark!!

There are nicer hotels though, heck, it is Miami, "Hard Rock Hotel & Casino" is a good bet though!! Not far at all from Landshark and wayyy nicer!! Only 15 minutes away!!

Yes, transportation is necessary in Miami, getting a rental is highly advised!! South Beach is 30 minutes from Landshark!!

Hope that helped Kelly!!

 That'd be nice Mala, thanks!

I'm looking forward to a potential reunion of the Foxboro crew! :hyper:

Should work out well Emily!

Interesting. That's the same hotel that my friend also suggested. And yeah, my first reaction was, oy, that's too posh for me pocket!!

Hey Alma if we all pitch in it won't be so bad......That's what we all did in Foxboro for that ridiculous priced room. We were very comfortable and right next to the stadium!

yea being a college kid i can afford what i can lol but ill probably be alone so meeting up with the interference crew would be nice. i hate just randomly going by myself to concerts :/

I stayed at a hotel in south Beach back in the 90's & if you are into the art Deco crap & paying way to much than go for it, I myself like something like the Embassey suites which is where I stayed while in tampa. Anything like that around the area???
