War Child
On November third, Republican Gubernatorial candidate Dino Rossi was ahead of Democrat Christine Gregiore by 261 votes. An automatic machine recount took his lead down to 42 votes. The Democrats paid for a second, hand recount, and Gregiore is now in the lead by 130 votes. The Republican party is livid, though of course, they would have done the same thing. Half of the state feels terribly cheated (why does this sound familiar?). But Washington State, barring extreme measures by the Republican party, will have a Democratic woman for a Governor, and two female Democratic Senators as well. A Triumvirate! At last, election results I can feel good about.
