U2 Grammy nominations

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
This is incredible! A sweep may be a little harder than last year. But I think U2 has a great chance.

Also, history shows that the Grammy voters tend to vote for someone if they have more nominations.

Look what you did, you little JERK!

Kevin! You're such a disease!

Woohoo 8!
Didn't Santana get 8 out of 8 a couple of years ago?
Of course, with the U2 sweep last year they won't give them another sweep this year, but with 8 nods, they'll win something (they better!)
In your face, boy bands and meaningless pop!

I had the loudest mouth. When we formed the group, I was the lead guitar player, singer and songwriter. Nobody talked back at first. But then they talked me out of being lead guitar player and into being the rythm guitar player and into just being the singer. And then they tried to talk me out of being the singer and into being the manager. But I held on to that. Arrogance may have been the reason. - Bono

That's great!

It's really nice that 3 singles are nominated...

But it's a shame that they chose Stuck instead of Walk On for song of the year..

Anyway, it's incredible!

Doesn't this mean that they will perform on the Grammys now??

most likely, yeah! Don't the Best Song nominees usually perform their songs?

Anyways, I just read that this number of noms in one year is a tie for the most with Santana and Michael Jackson!

damn, it's a great time to be a U2 fan.

WOW! 8 nominations

I really wonder how much they'll win, considering they swept away last year already.
Even if they don't win anything else, COME ON BEST ALBUM OF THE YEAR!!!

I definitely feel the way I feel when my favorite sports team does something great.

So U2 has gotten the top seed in the playoffs...now for the national championship! And to have two songs nominated in the same category? TOTAL DOMINANCE!!!!

WOOHOO!

Yeah, that reminds me of them winning BOTH of those awards last year. The "songwriter" award was so funny because all the other contenders were like "POPULAR SONG" performed by "some pop artist" written by "some writing team..." and then finally "Beautiful Day" performed by U2...and written by U2! *shocking* A band writing their OWN song????

I love it.

I can't take this excitement anymore! Time to celebrate!

*finally puts ATYCLB into the CD-Rom*
