Recording Live Shows

I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but because the next tour is not far off, I was wondering what all the different ways of recording a show are?

Please explain costs etc. too if you can.

With all the info, hopefully every show will be recorded!

get a good DAT recorder or a MD

sony Binroumal mics are great.....but i dont know enough about them

DAT's are pretty expensive, my advice to you os to get an MD, I'll have to check what model mine is I think Sony MZ-707 or something like that. As far as mics go I tend to like cardroid microphones. I dont' have nay clue what the model of my mic is I'll ahve to check.

have you recorded a show before?
if so i have a question where did you mount your mics?

How much can I expect to pay for a decent microphone?

What program could I use after that to split up the tracks etc.

my Mic cost me about $120....it gives pretty good sound, just hard to work with

i spent about $340 all up....but i'm going to get a better set of mics for U2
