"U2 is now back in the studio, with Bono free from his political and humanitarian commitments to work on a new album, which we will see in six months. "

This quote was taken from some newspaper in Melbourne, Australia. It also talked about how financially it didn't make sense for Elevation tour to come down under. But for what this quote is worth for anybody, I posted it. That'd put the album at May or so. I'm really gonna guess fall 2003 on this album. Recording seriously begins in January, according to the edge. So far, we've got "Sometimes you can't make it on your own", "Original of the species", "All because of you", "Full metal jacket", "Tough", "A man's a man", "You can't give your heart away". So there is 7 songs that the band have actually discussed. Sounds like they're onto a good start. I think if the start seriously working on it in January that they could be done by the end of summer, in time for release in Oct/Nov. And when it comes out, oh baby!

whats the name of the paper?
i'd tend to believe edge and bono over a melbourne newspaper.
the aussie press also told us u2 would tour here.

oh baby is right, mr the acrobat :D
