Leaked Pro Shot Concerts

Hello all
I was just watching my Washington 92 pro shot DVD bootleg, its one of my favourite shows from the Zoo Tour, incredible versions of Sunday Blood Sunday, Bad, With or Without You, the band were in fine form and Bonos voice seemed to recapture some of its Lovetown power, really yelling out the big notes. Anyway this concert was obviously not meant for public release, long static shots of Edge, the screen going black after each song, but could anyone tell me the story of how these Pro Shots come to be leaked to the public? I seem to remember reading somewhere that in 1987 there was a big fuss over the LA Colliseum show being released. What happened here? Anyone know, and is there any chance of any unofficial Pro Shots of the last tour making it out. Just curious. Anyone response would be appreciated.

Anyway that ZooTV show is also one of my favorites, SBS on this show is togheter with the 1986-06-15 version one of my favorites. BTBS from the show is also one of my favorites, this version sounds a bit broken and messy but it fit the song, and Bono's falsetto in the chours i brilliant.

Have you tried these ZooTV shows?

Curious how all my Lovetown boots , Bono's voice sounds perfectly fine Go Figure ......

But doesn't matter , even if his voice was bad , the Band's sound in Lovetown was the best in all 80's

I'm sure someone else can provide a much more definitive answer than I can, but proshot footage tends to come from two sources:

1. TV broadcasts (which is where the majority of early proshot stuff and the Popmart fourth leg DVDs come from). So while it wasn't meant to be officially released, it was meant to be publicly seen.
2. Members of the crew illegally taking U2's private archival tapes of the show and selling or otherwise putting them on the market. I believe crew members have been fired in the past for this.

Well why did you think a doctor told Bono to stop sing like he did on Lovetown? If Bono did sing so good at the lovetown shows inclusive the Dublins shows, why did he have problems to hit notes for an example "Wide Awake", why did he on every show in a line "looove aaa yeah aah" instead of "loooooooooooooooove"(just took the word love for an example) ? If his best vocal performences was on Lovetown, why didnt he sing WOWY and ISHFWILF like he did on JT tour, why?
He screamed out the lines often on Lovwtown, lines he hit easy and clear on Uf/JT tour.

And Axver I'm not alone thinking this, a lot of members on this forum has agreed with me. So stop being rude on people that don't thnk the same as you.

Yup, and there's more (see Patti's list). Whoever's list you posted is a craphead----I don't know why most of those are "rare trade only." They're readily available through "regular" trade or u2torrents. Hell, I have most of them and I'm only a budding dvd trader!

PS: The Zoo TV Washington DC show was a mess. Sloppy playing, tons of mistakes, New Year's Day turned out the worst.

For anyone who is foaming at the mouth after reading that long list of pro shot DVD's, it is worth pointing out that some of them are pretty crappy quality. Pro shot does not mean good quality video and audio. Some are miles away from the kind of finished product you get in an official release. I've downloaded a few from u2torrents and been dissappointed with either the video or audio or both. The best ones tend to be the TV broadcasts (e.g. PopMart South America; are these really "leaked" though?) since you at least get a guarantee of multiple camera angles with some half decent decent production and readily listenable stereo audio.
