VERTIGO!! now i want the album to be called Vertigo b/c we need a title track to a U2 album and THIS SONG ROCKS!!
 
This now has me as excited as when my local radio station in 1991 played zoo station for the first time and warned listners that this sounds nothing like the U2 you used to know.

This is my interpretation of the whole snippet. I am sure most of it is right. I did the main interpretation for the ABOY snippet which people seem to accept.

I've listened to it up, down sideways, amplified, modulated, filtered, pilfered and blah blah.

The only thing that is 100% certain is "Hello, Hello, this is a place called Vertigo"

Also, I think it's Hello, hello (and then HELLO! prounounce HELL-AW) is repeated twice.

and he says something like "you know I'm gaining, now..." then Edge starts that part that just gives me goosebumps.

The end sounds just like "I can feel your love teachin' me HIGH" but that doesnt make much sense to me.

I hear a few "HEY, HEY's" but no Vertigo in that bridge-type part.

It's fun to speculate though, better than not having anything at all.

I will be singing "hello, hello" for weeks.

I think this is right, except at the end I'm hearing "I can feel your love teaching me how (-aow-aow)..."

I wish I knew what the very cool punk shouting in the background is. I hear "Hey get back!" or something like that.

I hear it. :) Also, if you ignore Bono's speaking during the slow bit and only listen to Edge's guitar and chanting, I swear it sounds like a sample from Fire (the "falling, falling..." bit) or some other early song...then the music suddenly cuts out and goes into the new music. A statement about their early work perhaps? Or am I the crazy one now?! :ohmy:
 
I'm having a problem getting the link to the new sound clip to work. It keeps saying "Bad Gateway" anyone know what i should do differently?

I hear that too, it's like Kim Wilde's version, there's also hints of Duran Duran's "meeting you, with a view to a kill"
