Beautiful Ghost

Anyone know anything about the lyrics/poem in this "lost" JT track? Are they Bono-written or from somewhere else? I have a feeling he probably wrote them, but there's something in it that doesn't quite sound like him.


Oh, and on a side note....I just made a cd for a friend containing unreleased tracks & various alternate versions.....Started the disc with Beautiful Ghost & led into Always (original Beautiful Day). Didn't really think about it, but now that I've listened to it, it's a pretty cool line-up. Give it a shot.

The song "Beautiful Ghost" is an early instrumental track from 1987 which Bono reads William Blake's "Introduction to Songs of Experience" over top of.

It doesn't fit into Streets well at all IMO. It's kinda creepy, while Streets is very uplifting and epic.

I love this track and can see perfectly how it would fit into this album... It turns what is a beautiful poem into something more...
