yes i'm stealing suggestions from this thread for songs i should see if the campus radio station has.

but that's why there's a list right, to get people to listen to this stuff

i'm going to add a few:

the pogues--the body of an american, thousands are sailing, the broad majestic shannon, turkish song of the damned, sunny side of the street

live--run to the water :p

Joyfulgirl-I did not even know Tori Amos did a version of "Smells Like Teen Spirit".

Interesting. I'll have to check that out.

In addition to mofo and myself I can think of a few others who are going to give you big ups for the above statement. did i really just type the words big ups?

The Shins - One By One All Day

The Shins are in DC tonight and I am not going. If I do not go to tomorrow nights show, someone should drive to DC and kick me. I will be going though so do not get your hopes up.

Digi, I want to drive up and kick you because you ARE going!!!! Lucky sucker!

Count me in! In Remote Part/Scottish Fiction makes me thankful to be alive just so I can listen to it.

And do I even have to say I agree with Special Needs?

I'm sure I have some songs to contribute to this thread, too. I'll think of them later and come back. :p

Xavier Rudd- Let me be

great, great, great contemporary Australian blues and roots music:wink:

Oh oh, Let me be now
Hmm hmm, let me because
I want to be free now
Oh oh, free to see, yeah well
Want to walk away, oh oh
Let me feel my feet
Let me be, free

Time and time and time we see these
Acts against humanity, well,
Each for each and each will be then
Shed blood for what they each believe, well
On and on and on we go well,
Some will you see and, some won't be
True for you and truth will lead you
To a sense of, well now, peace

Let me be now
Hmm hmm, let me be-cause
I want to be free now,
Oh oh, free to see, yeah well
Want to walk away, oh oh
Let me feel my feet
Let me be, free

(Solo)

Wanna be wanna see would u let me go
Let me be now, hmm hmm, let me be
Wanna be wanna see would you let me go
Let me b now, hmm hmm, let me be-cause
I wanna be free
Oh, i wanna be free
Yeah I said, I said, I said, I said
Free free now, free to see
Oh, cos I, wanna be free.
