Question about paintings, auctions...

Ok, here's the deal...

my mother has come into possession of an old (i mean really old) authentic painting thats numbered, original, signed by artist, etc...

she wants to auction it off, doesnt really want to go in the way of ebay. she is having the painting appraised. im thinking it might be worthe mucho money.

how do i find out where my mom can have her painting auctioned? or is it something...impossible to find out?

If numbered, it sounds as if it is part of a series. EBay may be the best venue to sell this piece. The appraiser will give you the best alternatives.
