Yeah I guess we could've had better spots if we'd known about the hotel sooner.. I'll get my chance some other day I guess..

Oh damn. I literally walked right past you then!!!! We got in around 7ish and went via the left side to the front right side of the soundbooth! Then we went to check if the pit was still open, and it was so we stood there to watch them come onstage. It wasn't even that bad of a spot, the boys came over a lot, Edge especially!
First gig we were actually on the outer rail of the walkway, Edge's side. Right next to the press. Pretty damn good spot!

You must have gone past us, as we were on the left side of the sound booth (coming from the back). the front rail was already filled up.

We didn't really want to check out if we could get in the inner circle, because then our spot would have been taken and I was pretty sure that we would end up in the back (of the circle) again. I wanted to get the big picture for the second show.

BTW what kind of stamp did you get?? I wonder if it was the same as on day1, the black heart shaped stamp?? or maybe they used a different colour for the second gig??

I your avi, what pic/era is that from again?? Quite a while ago, but oh so gorgeous

We didn't get a stamp as we didn't leave the pit. Our original plan was just to check, and Wildhoney stayed with her hubby at the soundboard, right side. Then we got in the pit and the rail next to the stairs to the stage were still completely free so we waited there till the band got onstage. Then we realised that the pit wasn't all that filled so we stayed to take pics. Edge came by a lot and Bono did too!

It's from a video series called the History of Rock and Roll. I watched it when I was in college in 2000 in a class with the same name. I completely fell in love with Bono in this class. He was so refreshing to listen to after some of the other artists being interviewed. I was always a metalhead and couldn't stand U2 up to this point. Anyways, I was totally looking for some new music, which is why I took that class to begin with. So after a few days of watching the video in class, I stopped at the record store and bought a U2 cd and have been obsessed since. I always when I see pics from that video....

honestly, no. It was 10 years ago (and a million Bono interviews ago!). I'm sure it was a combination of both his influences as a kid and also U2. It went in chronological order so he probably didn't even appear in the videos until they started talking about the 70's.

hello hello!!!! I have arrived from San Sebastian!!!!!!!! What an amazing days!!! First day i got for free 4 U2 official tshirts from the people who were building the merchandising!!! 4 tshirts from the brussels show!!! Then the TV came and interviewed me!!!!! And then during the show Stuart gave me an Adam pick And Adam kept smiling to my camera
