I guess Bono asked the 'Vanity Fair' editor (Graydon) to change the name of the magazine to 'Fair Vanity' for the month when he (Bono's) the editor. Graydon told him: 'yeah, sure - as soon as you change the name of your band to 2U.' I guess Bono figured it wouln't hurt to ask. Pretty funny.

I would've screamed like a big ol' dork too! You are welcome.

Were you the one that posted the NAACP stuff first? I was looking through my files and realized that although I have the entire montage, roots, speech thing in mp4 I only have the montage and the speech in mpeg. I'd like to have the whole thing in mpeg if possible so do you have the roots performance in that format or the entire thing? If so I'd like to get a copy. My email is graffeodl@yahoo.com.

Thanks,
Dana

It's not a U2 book but a bono book.

Editorial Reviews

Book Description

"The one thing, on which we can all agree, is that God is with the vulnerable and poor. God is in the slums and in the cardboard boxes where the poor play house. God is in the debris of wasted opportunity and lives, and God is with us if we are with them. 6,500 Africans are still dying every day of a preventable, treatable disease, for lack of drugs we can buy at any drug store. This is not about charity, this is about Justice and Equality." --Bono

This small book, based upon the speech given by Bono at the 2006 NPB, delivers an inspiring and powerful message. Here, in Bono's own words, is a reflection on his own faith and a challenge to people of all faiths to reach across boundaries and come together on behalf of what the Scriptures call "the least of these."
