Birthdays & Charities

The Bono birthday well fund has me thinking.

On another board I frequent each year they put together a pin or other "official" token that is a submitted design by members and voted upon best design by the masses.

Then they take preorders and donations over the minimum "price" and they donate the profits to that persons favorite charity.

What do you think? I know of a place that can make pens and tshirts and another that could bind a book or make a lapel pin.

I would be willing to help organize all the details. It is probably too late for Bono this year but we can start with the next round.

bump

I was thinking that if there was enough interest that we could have a design submisson deadline and a vote for choice.

This is what I list for Birthdays:

Adam March 13

Bono May 10

Edge August 8

Larry October 31

So we could aim to start with Edge or Larry?

So do we want to open up for designs? Or should I just go with this first one from past experience and let the baton be passed for the next birthday?

The next one would be Edge - so I suppose I could come up with a few ideas.

Make suggestions!
