Nominations for Q Awards Announced
Mercury Prize winners Franz Ferdinand have been nominated for four more gongs - at the Q Awards.
The Glasgow-based band are up for Best New Act, Album, Single and Video.
Muse, the rock trio from Devon, New Yorkers' the Scissor Sisters, and rapper Mike Skinner's outfit The Streets have three nominations each.
Franz Ferdinand will be competing with the likes of Keane, The Zutons, Snow Patrol, half-Swedish half-British combo Razorlight, as well as Maroon 5, The Killers and Kasabian in the Best New Act category.
In the Best Single category, Franz Ferdinand's track Take Me Out is up against Morrissey's Irish Blood, English Heart, The Streets' Dry Your Eyes, Jamelia's See it in a Boys Eyes, Goldie Lookin' Chain's Guns Don't Kill People, Rappers Do, and This Love from Maroon 5.
The albums of the same name by Franz Ferdinand, The Libertines and the Scissor Sisters, as well as Keane's Hopes and Fears, Dizzee Rascal's Showtime and The Streets' A Grand Don't Come For Free, have been nominated for Best Album.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Muse, Radiohead, U2, Coldplay and Outkast are up for Best Act in the World Today.
The Q Awards take place in London on October 4.
