I've taken a vow of celibacy
But t'ain't a matter of delicacy
Tis not a question of new found morals
Nor attention seeking for praise and laurels
T'isn't a promise to Heaven above
Nor pining for an unrequited love
Tis not because my children are borne
Nor for lack of interest that I've foresworn
The delightful pleasures of the flesh
That can be found when two bodies mesh
The reason for my state of purity
Is in fact due to the surety
That though in my youth I was rather hot
I now look better clothed- than not.
