So here is a poem or maybe even a song that has a rural feel or country sound that would seem to just fit....see what you think ....

Time won't tell us anymore,but it was never on my side,seemed like it was always on yours.
It sure don't heal old wounds,won't mend a damn thing,can't make up for that time ,and what you did without the ring.

The road that lays ahead ,well,it's uncertain.
Just take a look at that blue sky and how it's turnin' mean.
You and me baby we had our day,and now there's no in between.

These brown eyes don't change color,they don't look like the clear blue sea.
There's only so much left to do now with this pain livin' inside me.

seriously though, if this was recorded by a country singer, it would be an improvement over most of the lyrics i have heard in country music songs (granted, that's not a lot)
