The Epiphone les paul is an amazing guitar but, nothing sounds like the Gibson les paul..It's too amazing..

Go to a store that sells both, try em out and compair..That's how I buy my stuff.

I had an Epi Les Paul and now own 3 Gibson LP's including a 1987 cream LP Custom and a Music Rising. The Epi Les Paul doen not even come close. That is not to say that the Epi stuff is not good. I also have an Epiphone Sheraton that I love.

***CALLING ALL LES PAUL GEEKS***

OK, so around a month ago i saw a USED "USA Gibson Les Paul Custom" - alpine white for sale in a shop. They wanted £1,300 for it.........A steal perhaps? Anyhow, I was chatting with my mate last night who works in the shop and he told me they had done so research on the Gutair and found out it was infact a fake!! Such a good fake they paid £800 to the seller. The manager says he wants to cut his losses and accepted my offer of £200...........I said i would think about it. Im guessing its actually an Epiphone, as the epi's I have seen has the same tuneing keys as this "Gibson". But I really have no idea otherwise, has anyone got any suggestions???

Looks almost identical to this
http://www.rocknrollvintage.com/prod...custom%20b.jpg
but with the same keys as the epi version.
