As much as I love this interpretation, I really think it's sound in a literal sense. And because in 'Fez' the 'let me in the sound' bits sound as thought they're coming from 'outside' the sound... and we're 'inside' it... if you get what I mean.

I never said it they were mutually exclusive. I was just pointing out that there's another side to it.

Actually what I was trying to get at is that it is really not two different sides. For Bono, the sexual is spiritual and the spiritual is sexual, not one or the other but both together. Does that make any more sense to you?
