All joking about Conway's Covid1 through 18 comment aside, though, I think the calculation Miss Alternative Facts is making here is quite apparent. Her being all but stupid or uninformed, she certainly knows the real meaning behind the 19 in Covid-19. However, she knows that the audience she is speaking to largely is ignorant on these facts. And she knows that she won't have to expect being contradicted by anyone on the Fox & Friends couch. So her mission is to make Trump's funding withdrawal seem more legitimate and ultimately the right and only good decision, and to scapegoat the WHO. What easier way to do it than to imply that these fools didn't manage to draw the necessary lessons from the previous 18 Covid strains, and now poor Trump is left to handle the mess?

Conway can take the ridicule and lecturing from Twitter, as long as she manages to implant the idea in the target audience that the WHO is one truly incompetent organisation and that Trump is without blame.

Back in the '80 (in my early '30's) I began to hear that America's dirty secret was about class-ism. "Besides" slavery and Indigenous Nations genocide which I'd already been studying about on my own post college.

You say that the Dems are anti-labor - some are not progressive as I and you would like but otherwise - that's a blanket statement.

Before I give you one of several examples I will add that a couple who created a special one year event in collaboration with UN - that many people around the world (the event involved many countries outside of Europe) are better at holding conflicting ideas in their minds. This is very important for my first example.

FDR was a great President. He would have been an even greater president had he not been a racist and anti-Semitic. .

Acknowledging that, if you have never read FDR's Second Economic Bill of Rights you (and everyone here) should check it out. I found out about from Thom Hartman's radio show. It's somewhat close to democratic socialism.
It never made it through because FDR died before he could fight for it in Congress.

And it turns out that Single Player Health Care was introduced in '47 or '49 by Truman, '61 by JFK, and LBJ. :ohmy:
A bunch of Democrats were against it, and however many Republicans because it would give black people "free" healtcare. :angry:

I don't know IF you don't get, or don't care enough that a Women's Right to Choose is (as I posted above) one of the key factors in her degree of freedom in her life.

That protection for LGBTQI people, for disabled people, minority religions ( and secular humanists if drumph or some else pushes the country more towards theocracy :sad: ), and maybe some other groups of people I can't think of right now is as important, as pro-choice, as class issues then imo you are not a true progressive.

But why does it matter? I’ll laugh all the way to a vote for even the most senile forms of Joe Biden. Dementia Maxima Biden would still make 100x better of a person and president than coked-out and demented Donald Trump.

Dude, it has nothing to do with his stutter. 12 and 8 years ago, he was a fully coherent individual on the campaign trail. Now he goes off on unintelligible tangents, like a good grandpa.

His opponent goes off on unintelligible tangents like a bad orange grandpa. That is the difference.

These idiotic shitbags aside, the vaccine compliance issue will be a real problem. I've already sat in executive meetings that pondered what you do with employees who refuse to vaccinate? If you have 30, 40, 50% of your workforce refusing the vaccine, your business could go under because at that stage the government isn't going to be bailing anyone out.

I have zero patience for anti-vaxxers so I'd embrace my authoritarian streak and make it mandatory (exceptions only for medical cases).

I love that they called their protest "Operation Gridlock". 'Cause blocking roads that are already quiet due to people, y'know, staying home, that'll totally send a message! Or something.

And I heard that they were chanting "Lock her up!"? So enforcing safety measures requires being locked up now, apparently? And there were Confederate flags, because what northerner doesn't want to wave the flag of the Confederacy?

This is why people mock and laugh at you, Trump supporters. You're all fucking stupid as hell.
