does everyone really want COBL to survive? a lot are putting it in there setlists. i liked it on vertigo, but I hope it doesn't make to this tour.

On the Vertigo tour I think COBL was arguably the best live performance. And I am really surprised at some of the love for Kite. Always been one of my favs and I would kill to see them do it live, such an anthemic chorus!

I'm sorry but I really hope they don't do this setlist! It would be criminal if they ignored Zooropa and Pop again at the expense of the "anthems".

Here is my ideal setlist for this tour. I know it's too early to jump the gun and I probably will be way off.

1. No Line On The Horizon
2. Unknown Caller
3. Magnificent
4. Breathe
5. Stand Up Comedy
6. The Unforgettable Fire (would love it if the string ending went into the single version of

18. Mysterious Ways (2nd night swap with The Fly)
19. Ultraviolet (Light My Way) (2nd night swap with Acrobat)

20. Elevation
21. Vertigo
22. Get On Your Boots

23. With Or Without You
24. Moment Of Surrender (2nd night swap with 40)

Seems a bit long but if they just play the weekends or 25 cities they may have the energy to do a show this long but spread out I think pretty evenly. I put this mix on my iTunes playlist and it sounds great. I'll look at some of the other setlist ideas later tonight. Even though Bullet The Blue Sky is one of my favorite live U2 songs, I kind of like the fact that I didn't include it. Same goes for some other songs I may have omitted.

Kristofor

PS A bit sad I may not win to get in to Boston March 11th club show. Oh well. Radio helps.

I've got a fairly radical setlist. I think it's time for them to be a bit more brave and ditch the old warhorses. I'd also like to see their 90s material dominating this time around- it's only fair after Elevation and Vertigo.

1)No Line On The Horizon
2)Get On Your Boots
3)Even Better Than The Real Thing
4)Wire
5)A Sort of Homecoming
6) The Unforgettable Fire
7) Last Night On Earth
8) Until The End Of The World
9) New Year's Day
10) As White As Snow (b stage)
11) When Love Comes To Town (done a la Zoo TV)
12) Dirty Day
13) Exit
14) Acrobat
15) God Part 2
16) Moment Of Surrender
17) Magnificent
18) Streets/One/ Beautiful Day ( a revolving "anthem" slot)

Encore
19) Discotheque
20) Two Hearts Beat As One
21) Breathe
22) Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me
23) Lemon (alternate nights with Mofo)
24) Night And Day (alternate with Love Is Blindness)

Other songs which would feature in rotation- Fez, Stand Up Comedy, Stay, Electrical Storm, Vertigo, City of Blinding Lights, Zoo Station, Mysterious Ways, Gone, Zooropa, Out Of Control, With Or Without You, Van Diemen's Land and Ultraviolet

PS- I know full well the actual set will be far less radical than mine but if they can push the envelope a bit more than usual I'll be happy, still.

I'd like to see the vast majority of the new material played. I won't mind of some of the classics get cut. These are some great tunes and they deserve to be heard live.

I would love to see this one:

No Line On The Horizon
Get On Your Boots
Vertigo
Magnificent
Gone
Last Night On Earth
Until The End Of The World
City Of Blinding Lights
I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight
Breathe

Moment Of Surrender
Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own
Pride (In The Name Of Love)
Cedars Of Lebanon
Elevation
Beautiful Day
Where The Streets Have No Name

Encore:
Zoo Station
The Fly
Mysterious Ways
Bad

Of course these songs above are changeable so they could easily move around or be replaced in the set. And another thing: I really think they should drop that "Bullet followed by a ballad" segment that they've done since The Joshua Tree Tour. I don't think they played Bullet very well on the Vertigo Tour.

I would bet, given that they are playing so few shows, that we will see huge setlists. I'm talking in the order of 28-30 songs.

They have the catalogue to do it, and these shows are going to be events. They won't burn out, because there is plenty of recovery time.

I saw Cold Chisel play a 32 song set, and it didnt get long or tiring, it was amazing.

On the stupid and ridiculous hope that anyone from the U2 camp read this, I'll just repost my dream setlist. (Well, it could happen...):

Likely SET LIST GUESS

This is more of a logical guess, and I think the songs will probably be fairly accurate, but maybe not the order. And I highly doubt they'll play EIGHT songs from the new CD, but I could not decide which one they won't (besides the title track, I don't see them playing it and I think it's ONE of the reasons it's not the name of the tour!).

1. Magnificent
2. Even Better Than The Real Thing
3. Moment of Surrender
4. Fast Cars (wild card there but you never know)
5. Vertigo
6. Get On Your Boots

21. Gone
22. Walk On

4 - HTDAAB
3 - ATYCLB
1 - Pop
2 - AB
2 - UF
2 - JT
1 - War
