"The Official U2 GA Line Police database shows that you did not check in at all required times for at least 7 days prior to your last U2 concert. Therefore, you are NOT a Verified Fan."

Let's have GA at under $100 face available to U2.com subscribers in both the "DeVaul Knows Best" priority 1 presale and subsequent "You Got Screwed for renewing Ya Idjit" priority 2 presale.

Co-sign although methinks the rail skanks are gonna miss the actual show this time, perhaps more than ever before.

Maybe its the fever talking, but with the delays in any dates or tickets being announced, I'm now really looking forward to SOS being released and in a state of apathy about Vegas.

To be fair, SOS is a far less stressful endeavor and near-zero cost. Feel better, though!

GA Check In begins 10 days before the first show at the Casino Royale hot dog stand.

Is there any doubt these assholes are also doing this for other bands...

They probably go to protests (on either side of the issue) just to fit in.

They put jackets on movie theater seats to save them for "friends" even though the theater has long converted to assigned seating.

They park in the handicapped space so they can get their coffee ten seconds faster than you.

They complain about not getting FREE things and take 10 packets of SPLENDA any chance they get so they never buy their own even though they can afford it.

They own a hybrid, but they can't drive anyway.

They are the real life people from those Progressive ads.

They will make the same Vegas jokes that everyone has said for 30 years and say them like they are the first ones to ever say them.

These people are the reason I think Bruce went nuts and tried to make sure his fans weren't at his show because he was tired of looking at the same 1000 people for the last 35 years at every one of his fucking shows.

I do like hot dogs though.

Write a short story about Bono's quest to find the greatest hot dog on the Las Vegas Strip.

---

Bono had heard about a legendary hot dog stand on the Las Vegas Strip. It was said that they served the most delicious and unique hot dogs, with toppings and sauces that were out of this world. Bono, being a lover of hot dogs, decided to set out on a quest to find this stand and try the legendary hot dogs for himself.

He walked up and down the Strip, asking every vendor and passerby if they had heard of this hot dog stand. Most people shrugged and shook their heads, but finally, a street performer with a guitar told him that he knew of the place.

"It's not easy to find," the musician said, "but if you head down that alleyway behind the Bellagio, you'll find a door with a hot dog painted on it. Knock three times and ask for Tony. He'll let you in."

Bono thanked the musician and followed his directions. Sure enough, after a few twists and turns, he found the door with a hot dog painted on it. He knocked three times and asked for Tony.

The door opened, and a burly man with a thick New York accent looked Bono up and down. "You here for a dog?" he asked.

Bono nodded eagerly, and Tony led him down a dimly lit hallway and into a small room with a counter and a few stools. The walls were covered in photos of Tony with various celebrities, all of whom looked extremely satisfied with their hot dogs.

Bono ordered the house special, which came with bacon, cheese, jalapeños, and a secret sauce. The hot dog arrived on a bed of crispy French fries, and as soon as Bono took a bite, he knew that he had found what he was looking for.

The hot dog was juicy, the toppings were flavorful, and the sauce was unlike anything he had ever tasted. Bono closed his eyes and savored every bite.

When he finished, he thanked Tony and left a generous tip. As he walked back down the Strip, he smiled to himself, thinking that he had found the greatest hot dog in all of Las Vegas. He couldn't wait to tell his bandmates and bring them back to Tony's stand.

Given all of the unknowns....for the people that want to go, what is your $ limit before it's not feasible?

Between flight, hotel, transportation and tickets... is it $1,500...$2,500...$5,000....(obviously if you are going with someone else that's factored in).

I'm thinking the floor for 1 person is going to be $1,000, and that's assuming you are taking a plane similar to the one Indy took at the beginning of Temple of Doom and are staying only 1 night(and not at a hotel where meth is served at the breakfast buffet).

it's all relative.

let's say i only want to go for one show and stay for two nights. i don't - i'll probably make a three day weekend trip of it, especially considering it's football season - alas, for argument's sake - let's go with Thursday November 2 to Saturday November 4 as a baseline.

i could fly from BWI to LAS round trip for $195 on Spirit - from DCA to LAS for $325 on American.

i can stay at The Linq for $85/night for two nights. Tack in two nights of resort fees at $35/night. That's $240 total.

so for transportation and hotel we're looking at a range of $435 to $565. If tickets are $200 a night i'm still well below $1,000 for a 2 night stay.

now sure - i can stay at Nobu at Caesars and pay $500/night. but i don't have to. The Linq is not luxurious by any stretch - but it's better than most Courtyard Marriott's or similar type hotels.

Vegas does not have to be expensive.

Yeah, if I do it I'll be taking the wife. So 2 airfares. But same hotel cost. 2 tix to the show (only doing one night)
So if we did a 3 night stay, probably gonna end up between $1,500-$2,000 for the 2 of us with meals (won't be anything super fancy). Gambling is the X factor. Could add to the cost or even reduce it (not the most likely outcome).
It's an expensive weekend for sure. But all my vacations for the last 18 years have centered on family activity for the kid, I feel I owe it to myself to make this happen if tix are obtainable. It's definitely a die hard U2 fan's ultimate weekend.

of course. but staying anywhere is expensive currently. all things considered - vegas is actually a value when compared to the cost of hotels in other major cities these days - where your average 2 star hotel goes for 3 beans a night.

but sure - even at just $500 bucks for flights/hotels? that's still $500 more than i'd be spending if they played locally. which is another thing that i think will ultimately help with getting tickets. you need a hell of a lot more than just the very vocal die hards on internet message boards to fly out there.

for me i always go to vegas once a year - so i'm just delaying my 2023 trip until the fall and tacking this on, so it's a wash.

Are you mad??? Vegas tickets for popular show will sell out instantly. The hotels will buy them or get them just to give to VIP.

This will be super bowl hard.

Unless they actually give us presale like they have before.

We are all fucked.

Tickets price in at 1000 each.
