The Walkman - U2 medley

yeah, i wouldn't necessarily judge the musical quality. The Walkmen are an awesome band. this session came out during a very frustrating recording session for their new album, and they just decided to take a breather and bust out some U2 songs.

Aside from flubbing lines and such, it's a pretty good cover. The Walkmen are an amazing act - one of the most consistently great indie acts of the last ten-plus years. They did a great job seamlessly merging the songs together. Bows + Arrows in particular is required listening, but all of their catalog is great.
 
He picked some of Bono's toughest songs to sing. Even Bono drops them down in concert (even 1984 Bono didn't sing "Pride" the way he does on the album). So I give him some wiggle room there. However, some singing is really off. Still, it was meant for fun. If this was their performance in concert, I'd be worried. :)
