agreed. production is terrible on LOH. It's a great tune though. Kinda reminds me of LNOE in that regard.

A bit jarring how it goes very low in mix after LIAWHL and then into the candy crunch noise of Best Thing.

I remember listing to LNOE for the first time and when I got to the end I still can remember my very first impression(which holds today)...”it’s got a lot of cool things going on in it and I should like this song...but I don’t”

Light of Home (album cut) is very similar to LNOE for me in that it’s by no means a “bad” song but it’s not “good” and there are a lot of cool things in the tune that make me feel like I should like it more than I do...but I don’t.

I also agree that the production doesn’t do it any favors.

While I certainly approve of this being the best song pushed, it's a little odd that they're about to have American Soul pushed like crazy on the states with March Madness but are choosing to release Lights of Home as a single.

Unless they swap out AmSoul with Lights at the last minute here... which would be great, as Lights of Home fits the Tourney better than a song about refugees

Jan: GOOYOW played at Grammies
Feb: Summer of Love pushed to Netherlands
Mar: American Soul promo for March Madness and LOH Live vid posted

Best Thing had a focused promotion but everything else has been somewhat half hearted....although GOOYOW did have SNL and the Grammies but why muddy the waters with LOH BBC and American Soul Madness promos.

Well, fuck it....get as much out as you can to wherever you can and see what sticks (Blackout, Summer of Love, Little Things and Love is Bigger should be queued up)

LOH is a fantastic tune,but I think The Blackout would be a great show opening. Total darkness as the bass destroys the arena!

Don’t get ahead of yourselves. LOH is not a single in the true sense. Neither was Blackout. It’s simply being pushed for record store day, not to radio.
