Omg the irony you fool
:applaud:

I'm sure there's some logic behind playing this location but all I can do is laugh at the stadium name.

Ah, naming rights... what are the only arenas or stadiums immune to it by this point? Lambeau Field? Madison Square Garden?

Fenway Park, Wrigley Field and Yankee Stadium to name the increasingly few

Well, take Louisville off the list of cities that might get a show on the I&E tour.

Sort of shocked there's still that many! Guess part of it is that you might need to have a really legendary name to avoid an uproar otherwise.

Does Wrigley Field count?
Named after the chewing gum company that formerly owned the Cubs.

I would think so. Not sure if anyone is still paying them to keep the name at this point, And it's been that name for 90 years, so...

Those aren't even close to the best.

Talking Stick Resort Arena
Vivint Smart Home Arena
Smoothie King Center

1-800-ASK-GARY Amphitheater in Tampa. Worst of the corporate venue names. One of those amphitheaters with a huge ass lawn that holds 20,000 people. Now it's called MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheater, which isn't much better.

Very close to my Rugby League team's grounfd - 1300-SMILES Stadium.

wow, and i thought Bercy being changed to AccorHotels Arena was bad

An interesting trend in Australia is that the five traditional main cricket stadiums have resisted sponsorship names, but I struggle to think of a rectangular stadium or an AFL-only round stadium that hasn't fallen. Even Subiaco finally fell.

Of course, there is Blundstone Arena, the other regular Test cricket venue, but I almost never hear anybody call it anything but Bellerive.

It's only a question of time before viagra buy the name right for a stadium.

Too bad Mercedes Benz already has the new stadium in Atlanta, with the Falcons' slogan of "Rise Up", a partnership with Viagra would be a perfect match. Could even paint the turf light blue.

Sorry don't mean to derail this awesome conversation about stadium names but just saw that Bono released some lyrics earlier this month from one of the new songs! Cool!:love::love:
The night gave you a song,
a light had been turned on,
You walked out in the world
like you belonged there
As easy as a breeze,
each heart was yours to tease
Is it only me who sees there's something wrong here
It's the little things that give you away
The words you cannot say
Your big mouth in the way
It's the little things that reveal and betray
Has the hunter now become the prey
It's the little things, the little things
That give you away
I saw you on the stairs
You didn't notice I was there
That's cos you were busy talking at me
Not to me
You were high above the storm
A hurricane being born
But this freedom, it might cost you your liberty
It's the little things that give you away
The words you cannot say
Your big mouth in the way
It's the little things that reveal and betray
Has the hunter now become the prey
It's the little things, the little things that give you away
