It has to do with estimating parameters; point estimates and confidence intervals.
The confidence interval stuff isn't so bad, but figuring out these point estimates is going to drive me up the wall.
I'vw pulled out on of my dads old stats texts to see if it'll help....

I think it's the Method of Moments that seems to be throwing me off the most, and using expected value stuff to show unbiasedness.
