i'm in a keeper league myself. i have lincecum and felix. pretty happy about that. however my baseball obsession runs far, far, far deeper... ever hear of those diamond mind leagues? projections? they run a piece on ESPN.com right before every preseason. i'm in one of those. 30 teams, 50 players, farm systems, etc... whole season simulated one day at a time. it's pretty cool, but definitely beyond obsessive. but hey thats okay, it's baseball.

Ever heard of What if Sports? They run sim leagues, which do not interest me....but a few years ago, they started something called "Hardball Dynasty", which, for lack of a better description is like a very immersive version of Dungeons & Dragons for baseball. I run two franchises, and I'm a fucking addict.

My love of the sport runs very deep.

My keeper league is AL only. I have David Price, Luke Hochevar and Jeff Niemann in my minors, and have Ervin Santana, Francisco Liriano and Gavin Floyd for one more at insanely low salaries.
 
I noticed on torrentreactor.net they have the new album added 2-15-09 (tomorrow?) and listed as downloadable with the mb size of each track. I can't get anything to work. So I'm figuring a false alarm.

Thank you thank you all, I'd like to thank the Leaky Academy, and remind you Universal executives out there that for less than the cost of a brand new album every year we can find lives for people like me and make sure that this never happens to anyone else again... won't you give??????

haha. yeah i've heard of what if sports. IMO, this blows that out of the water. if you're interested, I can show you what exactly it's about sometime. i've got no open spots in my league but there are others out there and you might find it cool, or just a bit much. it's very different, i think. I do remember Hardball Dynasty, but never played it. I've read about it though.

Price is money. Hoch i think will be okay, just needs some more time...more of a #2/3 than #1 like people thought he could be. Reminds me a bit of Pelfrey in the same regard. Niemann is caught in limbo. Too many arms in that system. stacked. Erv Lriano and Floyd are nice for sure. I've been trying to buy low on Homer Bailey... i think once he gets out of Cinci he'll be much like Floyd. He has too good stuff not to succeed, but, for every prodigy there's a million flameouts. Ryan Anderson, if you remember him.

THE LEAK PUN CYCLE:
1) Someone makes a reference to the leak puns, only to be met with scorn and derision.
2) A few more people post leak puns.
3) The snowball effect takes over, and the given thread becomes a wretched hive of puns and villainy. :)reject:)
4) Eventually, the punsters lose their energy, and the thread returns to news (or lack thereof).
5) The leak puns are widely derided, and are called "the lamest, most unoriginal jokes ever." Much criticism is bandied about, most of which focuses on how glad the criticizer is that the leak puns are dead and buried and the topic has returned to news.
6) Someone makes a reference to the leak puns.
*REPEAT AS NECESSARY*
