my class read a book about Danish culture and I told them I was going to bring them Danish candy as a special treat.
"Yay! Candy for everyone!!!" they chanted....
So i brought them some of your "special" licorice.

Axver, you're what, 17 and you read Kierkegarrd. No one ever thought you were a typical boyAxver said:
I don't suppose what you're talking about is anything like salmiakki? My Finnish friend describes it as being like "salty licorice" and gave me some to try. I am currently the only non-Scandinavian person she knows who actually liked it. I went back for more.

Bono and Flødeboller in the same discussion...I can't take it. Really.Diane L said:I just saw the "Hi Bob" picture on the first page of this thread...is Bono loved or what????
He's so, sooooo easy to love.
And that marshmellow thingy...I've seen candy that looks like that, but I just can't remember where...?

I'm eighteen, actually. And I always wondered why no-one ever wanted to talk about the topics I wanted to talk about at school ...
(I'm the kind of person who'll discuss Kierkegaard in one breath, recite Pi to 350 decimal places in the next, and then tell you what U2 played 20 years ago today before praising the New Zealand rugby team. And yet I'm still not the weirdest one of my friends!)
